I didn't say people who didn't see the first two. I said people who didn't like the first two.

He could have been laughed out of theatres, but I think people loved what he did with the role.
I thought he did great! And he got teenage girls to think a 40 something man was hot- you should've HEARD the people talking about it. yummy.

I have to agree with haej about ROTK. It truly was a good movie (and jampacked with hotties!) a bit long, but good. Now, I haven't seen Cold Mountain and I don't want to, but who knows? Perhaps it was better than ROTK.

I'm betting Big Fish will get some nods; it was really good. Possibly best director for Tim Burton and Best Picture. Could get some special effects nods, too.

With the BFCA's announced today, I think wins are sealed for ROTK, Peter Jackson, Charlize Theron, and Renee Zellweger. Finding Nemo was locked a long time ago.

BFCA has a higher correlation rate with the Oscars than the GG do. What seals the deal is not really the win but the margin of victory.

LOTR deserves to win this year not just for ROTK, but for the trilogy a whole
