I have to agree with haej about ROTK. It truly was a good movie (and jampacked with hotties!) a bit long, but good. Now, I haven't seen Cold Mountain and I don't want to, but who knows? Perhaps it was better than ROTK.
I'm betting Big Fish will get some nods; it was really good. Possibly best director for Tim Burton and Best Picture. Could get some special effects nods, too.

Big Fish has NO buzz at all and is picking up no precursor awards.
With the BFCA's announced today, I think wins are sealed for ROTK, Peter Jackson, Charlize Theron, and Renee Zellweger. Finding Nemo was locked a long time ago.
It was nominated for four Golden Globes![]()

BFCA has a higher correlation rate with the Oscars than the GG do. What seals the deal is not really the win but the margin of victory.
