Your all forgetting the huge buzz Seabiscuit got this movie year. I expect that one to take a few of the major categories.

Seabiscuit could get the 5th spot in Best Picture. Bill Macy has a chance too. Other than that, it doesn't stand much of a chance in anything else.

Sorry, LOTR fans, but I fell asleep during both ep#1 and ep#2, so will not bother seeing ep#3. I'm not a believer in big sales equaling best product. I might give Jackson the Director nod, just for the undertaking, but think Clint and Sofia also did wonderful directing this year.

I'm probably the only one who's rooting for Paul Bettany winning Best Supporting Actor. He's the most underrated actor out there!
Barely Pink is a Not Lame Recordings band from Florida. Their sound is a bit Weezer, Green Day, Matchbox 20, Bowling for Soup, and more. Be sure to check out the song Sixteen's Gone (you can find a clip on the amazon.com link on the site), and get their album "Last Day of Summer".

Find out more about them at:

I'm looking forward to seeing Cold Mountain this week.

Goodness, can't believe I forgot Seabiscuit! Excellent flick

MeteoraLP, I thought Paul Bettany was very good in Master and Commander.

Well, I am certainly not going to watch the third movie in a trilogy without watching the first two...since the first one didn't interest me, I believe I can safely assume that the second and third wouldn't either. With that said, I have to admit that the LOTR games on Playstation2 are pretty dang cool.

From what I have heard, many people who didn't like the first two loved the third one, but to each his own.

Huh, really? Do you think the third would make any sense if you hadn't seen the first two? If so, I may give it a chance after all...

    Best Actor:

    1. Bill Murray, LiT
    2. Ben Kingsley, House of Sand and Fog
    3. Sean Penn, MR
    4. Johnny Depp, Pirates of the Caribbean
    5. Jude Law, CM

I would love to see Johnny get a nomination.
I tihnk the role in POTC and the way he played it was quite a risk.
He could have been laughed out of theatres, but I think people loved what he did with the role.
