I'm surprised I've never noticed this thread before: it's practically a list of my favorite movies. Except for the Truman Show, I've never seen that one.

To answer LoneStarSpur's initial question, here's a link to a handy-dandy "Viewers Guide to Barton Fink":

Another strange movie is Dogville with Nicole Kidman, Stellan Skarsgård and plenty of other great actors. If you haven't seen it you should. It is a really good, but very weird film.....

    Bubba Ho-tep belongs here.

Strange. But hilarious at times.....when elvis went down that hill with his walker I laughed for an hour.
Look, I love me most...If I could run across the beach into my own arms, I would.

I think the strangest movie I have ever seen was Rules of Attraction. After seeing the movie I went out and bought a copy of the book and realized the movie was weird because the book is weird.

    1) Brazil - directed by Terry Gilliam. Heavily influenced by George Orwell's 1984.
    2) Crimes of Passion - directed by Ken Russell, starring Kathleen Turner and Anthony Perkins. Turner plays a architect by day and a hooker by night. Perkins is a street preacher who wants to save her soul.
