I read the book and was really moved by it. Bought a copy for my dad for Father's Day, in fact. It'll be interesting to see if the movie captures the surreal feeling of the novel.
When you're ten years old and a car drives by and splashes a puddle of water all over you, it's hard to decide if you should go to school like that or try to go home and change and probably be late. So while he was trying to decide, I drove by and splashed him again. - Jack Handey

I saw the trailer for this one a while ago, and it just looked so...surreal! (That's the perfect word, Paulie.)

I've been looking forward to seeing it since then.

An excellent, excellent cast (big Jessica Lange and Ewan McGregor fan here). Have seen a couple of clips of this one and am looking forward to it. Don't know if we'll necessarily go see it in the theater, but it'll most likely be added to our DVD library when it comes out in that format.

You're right Lobes, what an incredible cast. I'll see this one on DVD.

Just bringing this back to the front page to remind people to see it I hadn't realized it didn't open in wide-release until today, so I was wondering why no one had seen it

As I said above, I'm very interested to hear how it matched the book. I'm hearing nothing but good things, which is very encouraging.

I saw it! I loved it! I have to read the book!

!!! I feel vindicated now that I've heard someone else liked it! No one else I know has seen it.

I ordered the book too, Feifer
