| I was just thinking about George C. Scott's acting in that movie the other day for no apparent reason. Shows how good it really was ![]() It's definitely one of the top performances I've ever seen. Daniel Day-Lewis in Gangs of New York (tedious movie) would have to go up there as another one of the best performances I've seen.

| I've heard Lewis was the best thing in "Gangs". Might have to watch it one of these days. How has "Giant" held up to the test of time, Jupiter? Been years since I've seen that. -Randy |

| Tom Hanks in Forest Gump Billy Bob Thornton in Slingblade Al Pacino in Scarface Leonardo DiCaprio in What's Eating Gilbert Grape? Definitely agree with Daniel Day Lewis in Gangs, he made the movie!

| I wouldn't call it the best ever... but Johnny Depp was stellar in Pirates of the Carribean also, he was barely in it... but Marlon Brando was really really good in Apocalypse Now |

| Duly noted Daddio... For what it's worth, I actually included it in my list because my boyfriend was looking over my shoulder as I was typing and suggested that I mention it. I've seen Scarface only once and remember liking the movie, but, to be honest, don't remember Al Pacino standing out as an excellent actor in that role (Note to self: remember that you keep the BF around to squash bugs, not critique acting ).However, the rest are mine and I stand by them! Especially Tom Hanks in Forest Gump, and now that I'm thinking about it, Tom Hanks in BIG as well!
