The Human Stain - 10/31

The Human Stain (2003)
Synopsis: Coleman Silk is a man who, throughout his life, has been a master of deception and self-reinvention. As a promising college student, Coleman's first love, Steena, is shattered by a secret. Now as he embarks on a scandalous affair with the mysterious Faunia, Coleman experiences an erotic reawakening that carries him back to the past. I only saw a TV commercial for this today. Any buzz on whether the previews were good or not?

I've seen a couple of trailers for the movie and think it looks really good.
I'm hoping to get a chance to see it.

I haven't seen anything about it. It sounds like a common story line though. But if it ever airs on tv I'll watch it.

dunno about this one...there's something about the idea of Nicole Kidman and Hannibal Lector sweating up the sheets that gives me the willies.

-Randy (great cast, though!)

Ebert & Roeper were split on this one - one said go see it because the performances were amazing, the other said that the story line was so cluttered it ruined the movie. (I watched their tv show last Saturday, sorry no link).

I will go see it just for Anthony Hopkins and Gary Sinise - both who I will watch in anything, hence, my tortuous sit through Hannibal
