| I own both the DVD and the book. I have got to say that I liked the book much better. Also the reason they changed the plot from tobacco to firearms is because I guess there have been too many tobacco cases that have gone against the tobacco industry, so they think it really isn't that interesting so they changed it to firearms. |

| bleah I haven't been this disappointed in a book to movie since Waiting to Exhale was slaughtered on the big screen. The movie as a stand alone was ok.. the book was much, much better

| I haven't read the book but liked the movie. Interesting twist on the second half. I've always been a fan of John Cusack so that's what attracted me to renting the DVD. I too have been disappointed at books that became movies so I try not to watch the movie if I've read the book. Watch the movie if you haven't read the book ![]() |
