Well, I must not be difficult, I loved all the movies I saw this summer!
2 fast 2 furious, Finding Nemo, Bruce Almighty, Pirates of the Caribbean, American Wedding and last but not least, S.W.A.T.

A: Pirates of the Caribbean
It's the only one I've seen this summer.
What is written without effort is in general read without pleasure. -Samuel Johnson
A- = Bad Boys 2 (Much better than I thought)
B+ = 2 Fast 2 Furious (Better than I thought)
B+ = The Italian Job (Very good, must see again on DVD)
B = Pirates of the Caribbean (Johnny Depp stole the show)
B = American Wedding (Much better than the 2nd one)
B = Bruce Almighty (The scene with Bruce mimicing the newscaster had me in tears)
B = Once Upon a Time in Mexico (Wasn't as good as Desperado and Robert seemed to be piling up the too fantastic to be believable scenes)
B- = Finding Nemo (Maybe a little too scary for kids under 7)
C+ = S.W.A.T. (Nice action, but they wrote it as campy and that's fine for Charlie's Angels, but this should be serious).
C+ = Kangaroo Jack (Don't remember too much about it, but it was funny)
C = Freddy vs. Jason - (It was okay, but it was missing much of the Freddy humor from the 80's - lots of gore)
C- =Terminator 3 : Rise of the Machines (Disappointed, but T2 is my favorite movie of all time)
C- = Charlies Angels : Full Throttle (Too over the top, the first one is better)
C- = Spy Kids 3D : Game Over (3D effects were pretty good, but the story was not).
D+ = Underworld (Pretty ridiculous movie and boring in parts)
D+ =The Matrix Reloaded (Give the director's too much money and they go and screw things up)
D+ = Lara Croft Tomb Raider (She's too cold a character to care about)
D = 28 Days Later (Heard good reviews, boy were they wrong. Reminds me of Blair Witch Project, low budget, a lot of hype, good reviews, piece of crap)
Updated to add Once Upon a Time in Mexico & Underworld
Chris
I liked "The Matrix: Reloaded" and "28 Days Later".
You rated "Bad Boys 2" and "2 Fast 2 Furious" at the top of your list just because it was "better than [you] thought"? So if you were disappointed in a movie you had higher expectations for, you'd stick it at the bottom of the list? I dunno - doesn't seem very objective to me.
But I agree w/ you about both "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" and "Underworld".![]()
A+ = Finding Nemo (I could watch this movie again and again and again...)
A = The Matrix: Reloaded
A- = X2: X-Men United
B+ = Pirates of the Caribbean
B = The Hulk; Agent Cody Banks
C+ = Terminator 3
D = The Lizzie McGuire Movie
No actually the grades for each movie and the thoughts about them, are separate thoughts. Just because they were better than I thought, didn't mean that they got the much higher grades. Case in point Bad Boys 2. I didn't have much expectations that the movie would be good, because I really didn't like the original Bad Boys. Same with 2 Fast 2 Furious. I didn't think it would be that good without Vin Deisel, so I was expecting a 'C' movie. Since it actually held its own without Vin Deisel and I thoroughly enjoyed the outrageousness of the movie, I gave it an 'B+'. It's nowhere near one of my favorite movies of all time, but as a graded movie, I thought it was excellent entertainment.Originally Posted by nausicaa
