For no appearant reason whatsoever.... what about "Sex, Lies, and Videotapes"? I thought it was pretty darn good when I saw it anyway! Is it offbeat enough?

Yeah, no reason, Modesty. I hear ya. Just off the cuff. Nothing brought it to mind. Gotcha.

Ya beat me to it Bill....I was going to add Drop Dead Gorgeous once I saw Best In Show now on the list as well.

Anyone else watch too much Starz like I do?? Another one that fits with those two is Blow Dry, an Aussie movie about a family entering a hair competition (that I've seen far too many times to count now).

Libra - I remember seeing the ads for Blow Dry and it looked like it would be very funny, but I seem to have missed it, and I can't recall seeing the video anywhere either. :

Yes, Modesty. My son loves it and at one time was watching it over and over and over again. Very strange movie. Strange "musical" with strange songs and strange lyrics that get stuck in your head. It definitely qualifies as offbeat.

Anyone ever seen Ma Vie en Rose? I really liked it, and think the topic, along with the way it was filmed, was offbeat for sure.
