Well... I guess I'll have to see this one, then...

Agreed, John: I never really got into Miss Foster

It is not a spectacularly great movie, but I thought it was really entertaining. It's definitely good enough to see twice, (and I have). Jody Foster was super, and I wouldn't say I'm a big fan of hers.

One piece of advice. If you're going to need to have a propane tank filled get it filled before seeing the movie instead of the day after like I did.

I heard that Nicole Kidman was originally offered the role but had to turn it down because she hurt her knee making the pile of crap that is Moulin Rouge.

I can't really imagine her in the role.

I thought it was a decent movie, reasonably entertaining.
Foster was actually pregnant when the movie was made.

*****The mildest of spoilers below********

They try to gas her out of the room with a propane tank. She flicks a lighter and the flame shoots through the hose back to the tank...explosion, fire, tank flying around the room. (I had a friend that was burned very seriously in a propane fire so that probably affected me more than it would most people.)

I had heard that about Nicole Kidman, as well......though I don't think Moulin Rouge is a "pile of crap"...

I haven't seen this movie but...is Jodie Foster's kid in this movie a boy or a girl??? I've been clueless for quite some time.
