I can't even imagine who they will get to replace him in the remaining Harry Potter movies.

Oh no! These are some very sad news. I loved Richard Harris. He was awesome in every movie I saw him. It will definitely be hard for anyone to replace him in the HP movies.

a great actor. a great loss.
a producer of the "harry potter" movies came out and said something to the effect of, "dumbledore will go on, but richard harris is irreplaceable."

My first exposure to him was an HBO special presentation of the musical "Camelot" when I was maybe 10 years old. I loved the show, and he was so powerful as King Arthur. I always think of him that way, even when I watched him in other movies like "Harry Potter" or "The Wild Geese".

And as the emperor in Gladiator. Even though his character was old and frail, he still projected that same power to me.

From the moment I saw him as Arthur in the movie Camelot, I had a huge crush on Richard Harris. Agree with everyone who posted about his great acting skills. Very sad.
