I thought I would love Emma as I loved the book, but no, it was a bad movie.

(on the other hand I loved Bridget Jones' Diary)

Thought I would love Castaway but didn't like it, didn't even finish watching it.

Alien 3. I was so excited to see it, and it was horrible. My college roommates and I went to see it on its first day of release and wound up standing in the parking lot after the movie, loudly complaining about how disappointed we were.

Flowers in the Attic was such a disappointment that for years after that I hated the actress who played the lead girl. Blah!

Exactly Feif. It was just such an important book in my adolescence that I was so excited to see it become a movie.

And then they totally destroyed the story.

What a disappointment.

Gods and Generals

I'm a fan of Civil War films (Glory is one of my favorite movies.) G&G was horrendous! A funny moment came at intermission when one of the guys in the theater said "I knew they were going to cover most of the war, I just didn't know they were going to cover it in real-time."

It was important to me too. I read it twice during grade 7 or 8. But at the time I felt a certain amount of guilt at appreciating the book and its sequels (due to the taboo themes) that I never did see the movie.

Blair Witch Project. After all of the hype, and almost a week of waiting because all of the shows were sold out, I was actually pissed off when I left the theater.
