I was born in Queens, New York, eventually moving to Chicago and Florida. I was married at 22 and had my first son, Michael, at age 23. At 26, I gave birth to my second son Matthew. At 29, I was divorced and moved with my two boys to live with my parents. Without my mom's help it would have been impossible. At age 35, I was remarried to my wonderful husband Bob. Bob and my boys get along great. It's not easy to blend families and I know how lucky both my boys and I are.

I’m going on my twentieth year as a Citizen Services Specialist for the City of Sunrise, Florida in the City Manager’s office. I enjoy helping people and this position is extremely gratifying. The City of Sunrise has a large senior population and many times after the death of their loved one they are left completely alone. They call the city looking for help with a variety of issues and get me.

Now that my boys are adults, I feel that I have done my job. I was a hands-on Mom, I walked the walk and talked the talk and made no excuse for inappropriate behavior. I held them accountable for their actions. I took my job as Mom very seriously. I raised boys who would eventually become men, eventually become husbands and then hopefully fathers. I don't think I would change very much about my life. Although at times it wasn't easy, it's the hard times that we go through and survive that make us the people we are. I do wish that I would have had a child with Bob, but I was afraid of the unknown. I didn't trust enough after my divorce and I was afraid that I would be raising a child alone again. Little did I know that Bob was the guy I should have had two more kids with.

There is nothing wrong with being a Mama's Boy! I actually believe that a man who is close to his mother will be good to the other women in his life! That is something we don't see much of anymore and it is refreshing. Good for them. And from the previews I've seen, I'd say this MOM is the only sane Mom on the show.

Have you seen any of the clips? Lorraine's not the crazy, racist one, that's Mrs. B. She's the one you all should be worried about. She's a piece of work. Like the NBC promo for the show says, she's the new reality TV villain.

This mom is waay to enabling and controlling. When she doesn't get her way she pulls out the water works and puts her son on a guilt trip. She is in for a rude awakening when she discovers her "favorite's" secret.
