Long haired and bearded James is next.

He lost both of his parents.

    He's making crispy pork belly.

Joe votes no. I bet the others say yes.

James says he can do better, and Gordon tells him too that the competition will eat him alive.

    He walks out apronless.

But then he pulls it out of nowhere. He's through.

Some women walk into the audition room. One of them is making Cupid Cookies.

They flirt with the judges, with a couple saying they'd dump their husbands or fiances for Gordon.

They're all rejected. In more ways than one.

Cupid Cookies is asked to bring her supporters in, only to then get rejected.

    Sasha is next.

She's loud, flirty, and she's singing.

She's Sasha Fox, and she looks good, cooks good, and smells good. Everything she does is good. Finally, we know someone's last name.

    She made some fried chicken.

She tells Graham to put some Sasha in her mouth.

    Graham does so.

Sasha calls Joe hot stuff and approves of him tasting her dish.

GR asks her what her secret is, and Sasha says "Me".

GR tells her her crepes aren't as good as the chicken and she agrees.

GR likes it and gives a big yes. The others give her big yeses as well. She's through.

    I like her so far.

After the commercial, we're getting someone who tried out last year! Finally!

    Re: MasterChef

Next up is Rudy, who survived the San Diego fire.

He has burns covering 75% of his body, and as a result lost a finger and an ear. (I guess that's what he meant by "75% burns"?)

He cooks buffalo and refried beans.

Joe votes no. GE votes yes. GR votes... we'll find out. I'm afraid it might be a no. "You're very inspirational. For me..." doesn't sound too good for his MasterChef chances imo.

We're back. Was I right in guessing GR's vote?

    I was. Rudy's out.

    Re: MasterChef

A bunch of others are rejected.

Former NFL player Eddie is next. I tried looking him up but can't find his last name, in case he was recognizable. He played with the Patriots.

He throws a football to Joe but GE catches it.

    Eddie's making jerk meatloaf.

Joe votes yes, GE votes no, and GR sends him... through. Thought so.

    Luca's back!

He tells GR, the deciding vote last year, that he broke Luca's heart, his wife's heart, his mother's heart, all of America's and all of Italy's heart.

Joe votes yes (again), GE loves the pasta but doesn't like the sauce. He votes no. It's all down to GR. Again. He says yes this time.

    Luca's through!

That's it. See you next week.

The quality of what I'm watching is kind of bad, by the way. It's laggy and I'm missing some of what's going on. But I still have basics.
Jessie is very nice looking blonde. She did take a lot of deep breathes and sighs so as not to react to negativity of Joe and hesitancy of Gordon after they tasted and were still up at the table.

Joe said no - perhaps too much thrown in together, sometimes simpler is better. Graham said yes. When it came to Gordon, Joe said he questioned if she was the real deal. (ie She said she has been around fish a lot, caught fish herself, and loves fish) So Gordon said "well, let's find out" and goes to get the two fish. Last time she filleted a fish? She says a couple of months, so he shows her how to fillet into 6 cuts on the first fish, and then has her do 6 fillets out of the second fish. She did a good job and gets her apron.

hmmm...I can see why the judges got a kick out of her after all those who went before her. The other contestants will either embrace the crazy or be really put off by how loud and boisterous she is . I can certainly see why see got an apron....seems she is really good cook, but maybe more important she will add an entertainment factor to the show so it won't just be chefs who take themselves way too seriously. Hope she lasts awhile, but not sure I'm going to enjoy how loud she is.

So far I think I liked the guy who wore his mom's apron the best. Liked his presentation and like Joe said, he definitely will be one to watch.....
