I didn't watch last night as I watching the Ohio State Buckeyes win the Sugar Bowl.I'll be checking it out tonight.

Yuck, not impressed with the show.

Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage.
I like the show in that it celebrates and respects all dance and dancers. The experts are doing a great job thus far, and the tone of the show is much less judgemental. Paula looks great! The time off has treated her very well![]()
The dance-off tonight really gave a taste of what we'll see in the weeks to come. Those acts all really stepped up their game! I hope Theatrix makes it through. I thought they should've been through anyway, and not have to fight for their spot. It was really unfair to put a little girl up against all of those older groups. Glad they chose her to through, so the groups' fans can battle it out.
Oh another thing I like: they're getting right to the competition and results very quickly. Sort of like the Sing-Off which I really appreciated!
Haven't seen any episodes of this yet (I'll go back and watch them maybe)...
Has Paula been drunk at all? Won't be any fun if she isn't.

I watched last night for the first time and agree with those who have said it feels like America's Got Talent. A child competing against adults just doesn't work. I prefer to see two dancers together vs group numbers and solo's as well.
Paula waxing poetic about the impact of dance on America is over the top. Sure it is fun to see a good performance but it is not anything more than entertainment until you reach the level of SYTYCD when emotions can be conjured.
Disappointing show. I found myself texting and playing majong match during it so I missed a lot.
It just could not hold my attention. I will check back in with it when the auditions are over to see if it improves.
Won't even slightly be watching this show. Wonder if it will make a full season? I had the "Oh, come on now...." reaction when the very elderly woman (first show) had to be escorted on and off the stage, lest she fall over. And she was definitely teetering! This should probably be on the Disney or Nickelodeon channel. Sorry, Paula!![]()

All I caught last night was the last 5 minutes.
I'm confused as to how they eliminated contestants.
Can anyone explain?

So far, it's been like SYTYCD when they call or visit to tell them they have made the show. The actual competition hasn't begun yet.Originally Posted by norealityhere;4140554;
I like it ok. It's something to watch, but if it were up against a show I regularly watch....I could skip it. The only ones I'm really interested in seeing is the ghoul group of kids and the group with all the girls and one guy. They were terrific. I really like the judges, though.
I hate when the cops throw me in the back of the squad car ....like they didn’t hear me call shotgun.

Thanks, Javajo.
I've never watched SYTCD, so I have no idea how that show operates.
I liked the ghouls/ Michael Jackson type dancers, too.
So, does that mean that everyone who danced Monday night (when I saw it) is still in the competition, or were some of them eliminated on Tuesday's show? TIA

They were naming the top 18, that's all. Tuesday's show was a dance-off of the four remaining acts still in the running for the top 18. The judges chose one, the little girl, and the public will choose one more. Next week's show will begin the competition of the top 18.
