    Keenen Ivory Wayans - Judge

    Keenen Ivory Wayans

Keenen Ivory Wayans is a multi-talented writer, director, producer and actor perhaps best known for creating and hosting the Emmy Award-winning variety series "In Living Color."

In addition to catapulting his own career, the series also proved Wayans' uncanny eye for talent as the show helped launch the careers of Jamie Foxx, Jim Carrey, Jennifer Lopez and members of Keenen's own talented family, including Kim, Damon, Shawn and Marlon Wayans.

Born and raised in New York City, Wayans was an engineering major at Alabama's Tuskegee University when he dropped out his senior year to pursue a career in stand-up comedy. After relocating to Los Angeles, where he got bit parts in shows such as "CHiPs" and "Cheers" and later a role on the short-lived military series "For Love and Honor," Wayans hooked up with comedian Eddie Murphy. He earned a writing credit on the star's concert film "Eddie Murphy Raw," and then partnered with actor/director Robert Townsend and had his first hit film with "Hollywood Shuffle."

Wayans starred in his directorial debut, "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka," a blaxploitation movie parody that went on to become his next hit film. He starred in, wrote and directed "A Low Down Dirty Shame" and paired with Steven Seagal in "The Glimmer Man." He directed the hilarious horror spoof and record-breaking summer blockbuster "Scary Movie," as well as its sequel, "Scary Movie 2." In addition, Wayans directed the big screen comedy "White Chicks," wrote and produced "Dance Flicks," and produced, wrote and directed "Little Man."

He made mention of the whole "point of view" which I'd question being important at all, but he mentioned it all the time. Coming from his very famous and very funny family, including his own credits, I'm surprised that's all I was able to take away from him.
