Am I the only person who liked Tess tonight? I thought her set seemed fresh tonight.

Ralphie's was touching and funny. Very, very good set from him, and under the stress it must have been very hard to deliver.

Everyone else was kinda... bleh. Heffron was very good as well, as was Tammy, but they didn't catch my attention like Tess and Ralphie did.

So far Tammy, Tess, Corey, and Jessica are the bottom of the barrel. All 4 of them bombed. Two of those four will go.

He said his Dad died the day before. Could be a play for sympathy, but I almost think he was serious from Mohr's reaction.

If he'd been kidding, he'd know that it would smack him on the ass in a week when people printed news stories about him being a liar.

And YES. Those jokes WERE still funny.

And it explains the perception a few had that he looked pissed earlier.

I feel terrible for him if it was true. He didn't need the sympathy vote if it wasn't. He was funny, even though I've heard both jokes before.

That's mostly because it isn't all that funny to pretend you are playing a video game in front of an audience. In fact, I hate to say this, even talking about your Sicilian relatives for the 90th time might marginally funnier. :phhht

Oh wait. I thought you meant it DIDN'T make you laugh. I got most of the refs too... and DIDN'T laugh.

Isn't the rule for writers to "write what you know?" It must be true for comedians too. And obviously John knows video games. It may be sad...

I don't laugh at the Sicilian relatives jokes, the fat jokes, the "who would date me" jokes, and the "I look younger than I am" jokes. For some reason the video game stuff amuses me. Plus it's all in the delivery. I like John's style. I also like Tess's, Ralphie's, Dat's, Alonso's and Kathleens. It usually doesn't matter to me too much what they write. I like the way they deliver it.

Bonnie is to Last Comic Standing as Angola is to Olympic Basketball.

Jessica, bad choice, but still funnier than Bonnie.
Cory, not bad, but some of material is the same.
John is the best so far, video games are the best.
Avoided Tess at all costs like rhythmic gymnastics.
Tammy did pretty good, one Sicilian joke.

As for Ralphie, I saw him on Thursday and he put on an awesome show, too bad in NJ the only concerts people enjoy are Springsteen and Bon Jovi. I feel really bad for him in the passing of his father, but the two jokes he had were the best of the night. He deserves a free pass for tonight, so far my top pick regardless of his father's death because he deserved to win LCS1.

I doubt it's a ploy, but it's a fact Dat won on sympathy and maybe Ralphie would play the same card, but he's got more class than that.
