Just For Fun...Who would you "pair up" based on comedic style, etc.?

I just thought it might be fun to see who FORT members thought would make a great "mate" for our 10 house contestants, based mainly on comedic style...

    Here are my matches:

    Jay London – Margaret Kelly
Ant – Paul Lind (sp?)/Robin Williams
Bonnie McFarlane – Andrew Dice Clay
    Alonzo Bodden – Retha Franklin
    Corey Holcomb – Tess
Tammy Pescatelli – Frank Santorelli (sp?)
Kathleen Madigan – Robert Schimmel (or Jay Leno)
Todd Glass – Sue Costello/Robin Williams
    John Heffron – Me
    Gary Gulman – Me
    Dave Mordal – Me
(Okay, I cheated and didn't base the last 3 on comedic style…)
Oooops...how did Dave Mordal sneak in there?
My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I am right.

How about Bonnie and Dennis Leary? I think their styles would mesh well.

God, I love Denis Leary - is that why I liked Bonnie? I agree Erin, that's a good match.

And you keep your mitts off Gary Gulman, Pikatsso :nono I saw him first. You can keep John Heffron.

Personally, I would put Todd Glass with someone else incredibly annoying, like Carrot Top.

Alonzo & Retha: I think they both have great style, excellent timing and delivery, are both very attractive, and are both extremely funny.

Corey & Tess: I know Tess was attracted to Alonzo, but comedically I think she is closer to Corey. They both have huge egos (at least in their comedy personas), similar delivery style (you know, that "hey THIS is the real thing, baby" ... "I'm the Man," / "I'm all Woman" style. They both appear to be very self-confident and comfortable on the stage.

Uhoh...a new Kat fight!!! LOL Gulman is a very handsome guy. I think the woman that attended the Paris show described him as "dreamy"...I agree! I will have to challenge you to a duel, AJane! (Is that allowed in the rules???)

"Heff" (the cute one, not the rich old fart who looks like he stepped out of the mortuary right after they drained him) is adorable...so...Okay..he'll do!

But yeah, Leary would work well. Although her and ADC could make beautiful poetry together!!!

I was trying to think of someone SUPER HYPER for Todd--but I got a kick out of your choice of Carrot Top!!!

Touque...missed your questioning Paul Lind and Robin Williams with Ant. Here's why:

Don't know any other flamboyant, overtly gay comedians (although I'm sure they DO exist!), but Paul Lind (who, unfortunately is deceased) kind of talked like him...just reminded me of him, probably because he was gay...

But Robin...hmmm...I think you caught me there, Touque...RW has probably never repeated a joke in his life...he is the most hyper, insanely spontaneous comic I probably have EVER seen--definitely not Ant-like. I guess Williams (whom I sometimes adore and sometimes cannot endure) always struck me as a very effeminate guy--that must be what I had in mind.

So anyway, who would you pair with Ant, Touque?

The "spontaneous" part (Robin Williams) may not apply to Todd Glass...we'll have to judge that from the house clips, I guess. But the "hyper" part certainly fits. I don't think of Glass as "intellectual." or particularly "witty," or I might have paired him with that guy who smashes watermelons (whose name I just CANNOT recall ). Come to think of it, maybe THAT'S why I didn't use him...
