Well, I really hated Dat offstage, but it wasn't really because he wasn't funny offstage. It was because he was delusional. And not just repetitive with jokes between shows onstage (as they all are), but repetitive between the jokes THEMSELVES, thematically.

A lot of decent comedians are "off" when not onstage. So they suck as TV-Glass-House-People but could indeed be the best comics onstage.

I love him, but I also love Steven Wright. One liners are my favorite type of comedy.

One small difference: Steven Wright is about a thousand times funnier than Jay.

Oooohhh.... this made me recall how obnoxious it was last season to be subjected to all that wasted footage of Dat Phan practicing his transcendental Oriental Hai Ku Alai Karate Ju Tai Jitsu (WHATever) technique! Yech!!! I guess there were some BORING moments at the house last season after all!! The only time I enjoyed the Dat Phan/Little Grasshopper stuff was when Dave was spying on Dat in action from behind a bush!!

Well, it was no doubt Dave you were enjoying in that clip.

It said in US Magazine that Jay is 54 years old. Is that a misprint? He looks maybe 40.

I don't know if it's true or not, Marley...but if it IS, then I really, really hope he wins...54 and living in that scary, weird little cubicle that looked to be 1" x 1"....YIKES!!! That is SO sad. He makes Dat Phan (pre-LCS1) look like a millionaire!!

That could be right...who made the comment that Jay was driving a cab 20 years ago and left the fare box running while he ran inside a club to do a set?

Jay Mohr did. Except he said 10 years ago, not 20.
