Based on the responses so far, most people plan on watching the show. Don't get me wrong, it is not that I'm "outraged", just that I'm losing interest...(and I was fanatical the first time around)
Of the people left, I find only half to be at least moderately funny and maybe it's a personal thing, but I just don't like watching unfunny comics. It grates on my nerves.

It may also be partly due to the fact that I checked out the spoiltlers and the results to me are just "meh".
My husband likes to watch still so maybe I'll check in once in a while to see how Tammy is doing.

I pointed this out last night a few times... for me it's not so much WHO made the house in general, it's the specifics of why two producer handled talents made it over two non-producer handled talents who arguably and visibly were better. We can argue about Tammy Pescatore, Kathleen Madigan, Jay London, Corey Holcomb, etc. forever based on taste. But none of them--love them or hate them--had the kind of suspicous string pulling going on that Ant and Gary Gulman did. At worst, some of those others may have been given a "pass" to fulfill for some vague idea of diversity. That's not the same as a suspicious fiduciary relationship, or a scandal where celebrity participants were supposedly misled about the amount of producer input, and the NATURE of that input.

Good points... and certainly those weigh on my decision as well. I have to wonder, is there any question of legality concerning the advancement of Ant and Gulman compared to others? I'm sure alot of these comics put in some time and money to "compete", but I guess the favouritism, though obvious to us, would be hard to prove.

This may be a threadjack, but.....

The whole idea/argument about agents, casting agents, and talent scouts is actually permeating through "Reality" TV more and more. Survivor has started using casting agents to get a good mix on that show. The Amazing Race went so far as to cast a couple whose female half was the runner up on Big Brother last summer. As unscripted shows become ever more popular, they have to make sure that they aren't just sticking uninteresting, dull people in the mix. They(and we) want drama, and conflict, and backstabbing, and plotting.

Does it suck? Yes. Do the shows end up sucking? Well, IMO, no. Although I will have to reserve judgement on TAR(but even so, I enjoy that show so much, that its really negligible to me.) The fact is, we haven't seen the show yet. They haven't been in the house interacting yet. I think there are more funny comics than unfunny ones in the house.

Also wanted to say that I don't think the show gets really funny until they're in the house, as was the case last year. Tammy seems to be serious offstage, and funny onstage, whereas Bonnie is the reverse for me. I'll stick around to see the comedy in the house.

I'm going to keep on watching. This is definitely not a competition. If you keep getting hung up on this being a competition to find the funniest comedian, you will be dissapointed. If you just want to watch the zany antics of some pretty funny people, I think you'll find exactly what you want.

Take a deep breath and let yourself be entertained.

I think this forum should be moved out of Competition Shows tho.

This is the first that I have ever seen of LCS.. I have read this board and I have enjoyed it. I will continue to watch because I get a good laugh out of the show.
While reading this board I can't tell you how many times I read - "I can't wait until they get into the house. The antics in the house last year was the best part of the show" so really.. didn't the producers give you all exactly what you wanted?? They put together the personalities in the house that they thought would give you maximum entertainment because the 'contest' part of the show is a joke... There is another way to look at the 'casting' instead of winning.. the show's producers have gone out of their way to entertain us.

    One more week

It's my experience that when the best comics get the boot *cough*davemordal*cough*, the show is no longer really funny. In the house, on stage, period. Not letting Voth, Naturman, and Wiggins in the house was a travesty, and exceptionally stupid of the producers. I give this show one more week to prove it is more than a big brother knock-off with 10 minutes of lousy comedy at the end. If not, that's it for me.

Our family is choosing not to watch any more this season. The only thing that could possibly be worse is watching the season end with one of the comics deemed "not worthy" by fans win the competition.
