| Again Final, all we really have is one guy saying he was putting together a benefit, and one guy saying he isn't. We don't have proof of either. | |

| Great interview guys! Dang Sean, six days out and going to Vegas? I guess the "Built Texas Tough" slogan refers to more than just trucks. BTW, (if you're still reading this thread) how long did you work on "The Best Damned Sports Show"? Was it your first big break as a writer? How would you sum up the experience? Aside to Rachael: I'm in Nashville, too. Sometimes its hard being the last remaining native AND the only person in this city without a demo tape and a head shot in their purse at all times. ![]() |

He said that within the last three weeks. If there's no benefit in the next couple months, then I think you'll have an argument. | ||

| Another great interview Wayner! With all of your interviews, you bring out the real person behind the persona that the producers created on the show. Imo, some of them shine more than others. Good luck with the rest of the interviews...there are more, right??

| Sean, Brian Dunkleman is a perennial reality show "target", because frankly he looked SO uncomfortable doing American Idol and people noticed that. That said, many people have also told me that outside of that bad section of his career, he's actually a pretty funny, pretty good guy. Holding him fully responsible for the way he appeared on that show is, I suppose, not unlike holding Bob Saget responsible for "Full House" or "America's Funniest Home Videos" and forgetting that at one point in history he was also pretty funny (and frankly pretty dirty--all in a good way). So enough on that. We occasionally need things to joke about here, but please don't take it personally, on your own or Brian's behalf. Mostly we're kidding, as indicated by the lack of a specific context with the comment. The line in the sand for this, I think, is usually that we can use something like "Brian Dunkleman" as a punchline, but if somebody actually got SPECIFIC and started calling him a jerk or an idiot or something unfounded... that crosses a line. "Eeew" might be toeing that line a bit, so I'm sorry about that. The other point I was serious about, and I completely buy and sympathize with your explanation. As I said, its not a very serious knock on you, and your presence here afterwards is more than fair compensation for any unavoidable repetitiveness. |

Yeah, that was my first big break and I was there about 4 and a half or 5 months. Then they cut staff and tons of people on the whole show were laid off. As I said, I was the last writer hired, so unfortunately I got the boot (actually me and one other guy). I had a great time while I was there, though. I liked all the guys on staff and I found the work invigorating because we would come up with a sketch at 9 in the morning, write it, cast it, costume it, get all the props, film it and edit it by 4pm. So that was a lot of fun and certainly never dull. I would sum up the experience by saying it was a great first job for a young writer. Thanks for asking, Sean Kent |

I was just wondering about the whole Dunkleman thing since I've seen him slammed all over the net and it's just strange to me since I know him. Regards, Sean Kent |
