Wow, Sean, you are really young and really brave. I wish you all the best in life, and damn anyone who says that they don't!

So should I have been on the show in the first place? Yeah, it was safe for me to do it.
Should I have been at the reunion show taping last week? According to my docs probably not, but if you watched the show you know I'm not a very good listener. Also, I got emails from a lot of cancer patients that saw the reunion show and found it very nice to see a big, bald guy like myself talking about going through treatment but at the same time doing something fun and exciting. So that definately makes the risk worth it.
Thanks for the inquiry,
Sean Kent
Thanks for the response.... and good luck to you on kicking that darned thing.

Krom, I know that there was a Sean interview that posted on another site before I got our's posted. As you probably have read, I went backpacking this past weekend, so I was late in getting things posted. Sean told me that while he'd been on the radio a number of times, this was the first print media interview he'd ever done. If it helps, he didn't come off as rehearsed at all, but very genuine.

And Sean, thanks again for not only taking the time to do the interview, but to post here on the site. Happiness and health to you, sir!

BTW, my six degrees of separation story; three time Kentucky Derby winning jockey Gary Stephens, who stars in the movie Seabiscuit was in my high school graduating class. You go Gary!

Darn, I don't have a six degrees story.
Welcome to the FORT, Sean!
Thanks for the interview, and Best of luck to you!

BTW, you made some mean jokes about Ralphie when he did the Rat Dance, but they made me laugh.

I met SINBAD when he wasn't even close to being well-known. He was still in the Air Force, playing Cutthroat Monopoly at his friend's house. Sinbad and my boyfriend seemed to run in the same circles (Tops In Blue performers), and I found myself thinking he was so handsome, tall and funny. I never let on because I was in a relationship, but I thought he was damned near perfect for me. I should have sought him out after my boyfriend and I didn't work out. I'm glad I didn't because fame and money changes people, usually for the worst.

six degrees story:

I live in Nashville. Everyone here is going to be famous one day, just ask them. 'Nuff said.

As far as the interview, who ever said that the answers were the same, pretty much, to other interviews, that is the first thing that struck me as well. But, they probably get asked all these questions so many times.

Just a wonderful interview Wayner..thank you for all you have done to make this show even more enjoyable. You deserve a big thanks from all of us!

I am saddened to see that Ralphie was attempting to latch onto Sean's illness for his own benefit. I wish Sean all the best and hope that other comics (who really care about him) do try to help him. It is sickening to see someone use another's tragedy for their own personal gain. I have lost all respect for Ralphie after reading what sean said. Sean is very couragious and your interview was unforgetable.

Glad you liked the interview, Final5. Personally, I think that the Ralphie vs Sean stuff is sort of a "he said - he said" thing. I don't guarantee truthfulness in the interviews - I just ask the questions and write down the answers; it's up to the readers to form their own oppinions. It's tough for me to really judge - all the comics were very, very enjoyable to talk with. Of course, there will always be a special place in my heart (not in a bubblebath sort of way) for Dave, because he was my first interview.

I tend to believe Sean since the fact is that ralphie said he WAS doing a benefit and Sean said there was NEVER any benefit. This is not about what each said, it is about a tangible event. With all Sean's been through, and how he has tried to still say Ralphie is a nice guy, it is impossible to believe he would try to hurt someone who was really trying to help him. It would make no sense. What it comes down to is Ralphie saying he was putting together a benefit and Sean letting us know that there was never any real effort on Ralphies part...very sad and unneccesary since we all loved Ralphie anyway. There was no need for him to try to capitalize on Sean's illness.
