I am way too shy. I may be able to write a few witty lines, but thats it.

And, what works on the page isn't always the stuff that connects with an audience that has to hear what you're saying and translate it in their often-beer-soaked brains.

And, what works one night doesn't work another night.

And...well, you can keep drawing nightmare scenarios all you want...but very little in life beats the rush that you get from getting an entire room to laugh at something you've said--and once you get it once, you hunger for getting it again...

And Bravo to you for doing it. Especially in Seattle, where nothing is as Seattle like as the buzz of coffee, and a few laughs.

My speaking skills aren't good enough to do any kind of performance. I always get tongue tied. And I don't talk fast enough. Plus, I'm not quick-witted enough.

If I were to do it, my persona would be a loser, which is pretty much what I am in real life.

I would love to be able to be a comedian, but everytime I hear something new all I can think of is "Why can't I think of that

I have no problem being on stage in front of people, but I know I'm not quick enough to handle a heckler... I'd think of something to say the next day though

"Hindsight is 20/20" You always think about it and then you figure out what to say. Dont you hate it when that happens?
