So this can be any celebrity? Oooooooooh the possibilities!

Andy Griffith actually used to do the funniest monologues. He doesn't tell jokes persay, but the stories were absolutely hilarious. He's on my list.

    Also on my list:

    Dennis Miller
    Norm McDonald
    Chris Rock
    and
    Elayne Boosler
Men are like slinkies... not really good for anything, but you can't help but smile as you see one tumble down the stairs.

You mean "people who have 'made it'" I assume? (sorry dvm, that might exclude Lang, although he can be pretty funny-he's not a name by himself, only by virtue of who he's worked with)

None of 'em would ever do it, but Chris Rock is an inspried choice, as is Bernie Mac--but they are marginally too famous. People on NEARLY the SAME level (VERY successful but just short of "superstars"--out of the clubs and on TV, but not averse to more publicity) might include Dennis Miller, Colin Quinn, Jay Mohr himself, Eddie Griffen (as mentioned), Norm MacDonald (Artie Lang's buddy)... people on that level.
