Rich Vos--WHY???

I recognize Rich Vos from a stand-up special on Comedy Central and from his appearances on Colin Quinn's talk show, plus I read that he has headlined clubs throughout the United States including Las Vegas and Atlantic City. My question is, isn't this a conflict of interest because Colin was one of the judges? I also thought this was an amateur competition.

The official web site says it's a search for the best professional or non-professional comedian.

I didn't watch the show, but Colin is a Talent Scout, but there will be a separate elimination board that Colin's not a part of.

John is right, colemajs. And from what I gathered watching the show, most of the contestants have been doing stand-up for at least a few years and are looking for their big break.
