| Re: Show discussion thread 9/26 I've been in the restaurant business for over 40 years and I've never seen anything like this. Ever.

| Re: Show discussion thread 9/26 I know one thing for a fact. The next time I go to New York, I will not, under any circumstances, be eating at Dillons. I don't care how much they clean it up and get things under control. I'm not super squirrelly about restaurant standards, but man, that is just the most disgusting hole I've ever seen that was actually open to the public.

| Re: Show discussion thread 9/26 Sorry. Missed this thread due to the unusual naming. Ignore my other thread. MOVED FROM OTHER THREAD: ============================== ======== Wow, wow, wow. This makes Peter's look like a cruise. Again though, I have a concern that the ENTIRE American series will be the producers seeking out scummy restaurants for Gordon to have a "Nightmare" at. Despite the name of the series, THAT'S NOT WHAT THE ORIGINAL SHOW WAS ABOUT. On the original show, it was almost always about a formerly great restaurant going stale, and so the episode was usually about how the solution was almost always already there. And usually the owners/managers were desperate for help, not the problem themselves. The multi-manager circus in this episode is, in its own way, even worse than the situation with Peter. Despite the show pointing out the food being crap, AGAIN the focus here is on a managerial crisis. A human crisis that can be sensationalized in a FOX-like over the top manner.
