| Re: Taylor I do not like this child. I can't help but wonder where she learned her behavior. Whom is she channeling??? If pretty is as pretty does...she is an ugly person.

| Re: Taylor I caught a blip somewere yesterday about something Taylor's mother had said, and so I went on a 30 minute net search for the source.... I am so dismayed with all of the venomous and highly inappropriate, vulgar language used to describe a 10 year old kid, that have been plastered all over the internet. I don't care if she's a brat or not, it's unbelievable to me that any self-respecting adult would use some of the language I've seen out there to describe a child. Taylor is the sum of her upbringing, and to expect her to watch herself on TV and have some sort of epiphany at the tender age of 10 is ridiculous. People can argue that her parents put her out there in Reality TV Land, and as such, signed on and should have expected critiques of her behaviour.... ....but WOW! I guess I just didn't expect it - and I'm extremely disappointed in the animosity towards a 10 year old. This isn't directed at anyone here, it's just an observation and opinion on what I've seen "out there". Do a search and a little reading and you'll see what I mean. |

| Re: Taylor Sure it can be rough in the real world, it's just a sad commentary on our society when adults can call a 10 year old some of the names I've seen her called. |

| Re: Taylor Well I guess it it sad that Taylor's own parents don't tell her that she acts like a spoiled brat. Maybe if she were told that in the comfort of her own home, she would be spared the embarrassment of acting like a brat in public. Her parents have probably always seen her behavior as cute, but they are not doing her any favors

IMHO, most adults never get there. And, as far as I'm concerned, they need more guidance than most kids in Bonanza City and most kids in general. | |

| Re: Taylor I agree that her behaviour isn't flattering at all. I also agree that Reality TV invites citicism/examination of that behaviour. It just saddens me to think this 10 year old will read (or be reading in the near future), some of the outright venom I've read. I would never have subjected a child of mine to that kind of exposure, knowing full well the possible outcome. That being said - I would venture a guess that her parents are either oblivious to it or condone/think it's cute. I looked at the pageant website pictures of her, and although I understand that it's a whole different psyche in that circle - it's certainly not a psyche indicative of the "real world". Parents make mistakes, poor decisions all the time - it's part of growing and learning as a parent, I guess I just wish Taylor didn't have to pay for this poor decision so publicly. I don't believe for one second that she is a bad kid at 10 years old, just a little misguided at present and hopefully that'll change as she gets older. If you have to look at a possible "plus" in this situation - maybe her parents will see that her behaviour isn't so "cute" and takes steps to rectify it. Ahhh well - just an opinion. |
