    What a great kid.
He may not be on the Council, but he appears to have all the qualities to be a leader of the group.

I think his quiet approach worked wonders.
They certainly seemed to listen to him because they wanted to and not just because they'd been told he was in a position of some authority.

I really think this kid should be on the council. I also thought he should have got the star, but i'm sure he will eventually get it. He just seems like a really good, hardworking kid. I can't wait to see what else he will do.

I like this kid, he should have been on the council in place of Mike.

He seems like an old soul. I mean that as a compliment. I was impressed by his ability to rally the other kids together. Way to go, Michael! Even if you don't get a star, you are one! (and it doesn't hurt that he's a John Lennon fan either!)

"Time wounds all heels". Love that quote, but I hate to spoil the kid's illusion that John Lennon said it first. I remember it being in a picture of a shoe repair shop on North Clark Street that was taken in the thirties. But hey . . .

    Re: Michael

Michael is a wonderful young man: humble, hardworking, and intelligent, with wisdom beyond his years. He listens and then thinks before he speaks and he can silence a mob as he did in the first episode; everyone waits for what he has to say. What amazes me is that he speaks his mind; says exactly what needs to be said, then quietly sits down; no shouting, no rambling, just quiet truth; a true peacemaker.

I am glad he's not on the council; he is much more effective where he is. He is someone the council can count on for support and everyone else can count on for encouragement.

I hope we can follow Michael as he grows into the fine man he seems destined to become.

I can't say anything about Michael that hasn't already been said. He seems like a real upstanding young man, and I hope he goes far in life.
