I think the tone has been to concentrate more on the women so far, but I absolutely agree with you that men can be just as shallow.

Sure. Though for men, I don't know that it is so much appearance and age... as much as it is APPEARANCE. We are a visual bunch of guys in general.

I think men & women alike can be shallow when it comes to age, appearance, money, intelligence, etc. People just tend to seek out what they find appealing. Rarely does anybody pursue old, ugly, poor, stupid people. I don't think it's a man/woman issue at all, just human nature.

Sure men can be shallow. Women don't get breast implaints to thrill other women, it's because guys are often stuck on looks.

Guys tend to be less interested in money. So they try to make it appear to be so much more evil that women will at times focus on money, instead of the appearance thing.

Too much of either approch is a bad thing on both genders. Ideally the perfect mate is someone who is not hard to look at , fun to talk to and makes enough money to make their way in the world without having to drag you along too.
