Alex McLeod, host of Joe Millionaire

Anyone who's watched "Trading Spaces" knows Alex McLeod, but for those unfamiliar with her, here's a short bio from TLC:

Born in Galveston, Texas, Alex McLeod graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in speech Communications. Since moving to Los Angeles, she has performed in situation comedies (Married With Children, Nightstand, Partners, Ned and Stacy), national commercials, as well as hosting a variety of reality programs.

Before joining the TLC family, Alex co-hosted the irreverent and popular Moviewatch series for Channel Four in the United Kingdom. Based in Hollywood, she was British TV personality Johnny Vaughn's self-effacing sidekick, engaging in mock interviews with Hollywood's mega-elite as well as writing and performing comic sketches satirizing Hollywood. She also contributed her outrageous improvisational sketch created for the Internet's IZ.com.

"I enjoy mixing it up with all types of people," Alex says. "I'm not afraid to put myself out there."

She was really good with Johnny Vaughan on Movie watch, but then I find Johnny very funny and he can work well with vrtually anyone.

I found her a much better choice for a TS presenter than the current woman and was sad when I found out she had been replaced.

I think she'll make a good job of presenting this show.

The more I think of it, she could be good or could be annoying.
I'm really looking forward to seing how she looks and what she does. A very different gig than TS.

She's also got a travel show she did with Phil Keoghan that will be on A&E sometime early 2003.

I'm looking forward to seeing how she performs on this show too Eny.
I don't think she was stretched at all on TS, I can't remember her having any fraught home owners to deal with.
This show could be a whole sdifferent ball of wa though as I imagine there will be times when emotions run high.

I thought she sucked as the host.
They didn't even need ehr there last night, Paul the butler could have done it all.
Hopefully she'll get to do more as the series goes on.
She sounded like she was reading all her lines off a board last night, very wooden imo.
