I Love New York 3/19 Recap: Some Serious Mama Drama

Welcome back to another week of the show that just won’t end. I feel like I have been gone for a long time but I think it’s this show takes some long breaks and returns and it has been going forever. Last week was an exciting week, Chance acted immature, Tango tried to leave, and Real fell in love with New York. Basically, the same thing that has been happening all season but presented in a slightly different way. Our good friend Whiteboy was sent packing and I finally came up with his name after sitting here for a good 15 minutes. He must have been very memorable.

We are finally down to 3 men and that only means one thing, one more episode after this. I am really excited and ready to move onto Charm School. The ladies provide to be more entertaining then the men, and skankier as well. We are down to brother vs. brother vs. some other guy. The other guy “Tango” sends New York a little love letter to tell her how he feels. New York goes to Tango, after changing into her sluttiest outfit, and tells him she can’t get her mind off him. She is also worried that he is not being sincere and is going to get hurt like with Flav.

Mother’s Day
The three remaining men are hanging out when Chamo arrives in his sluttiest outfit, most likely borrowed from New York’s closet. He delivers a note for the day’s adventures and Real reads to the others that their mother’s will be arriving. The men are excited but Tango is a little worried, as he should be because his girlfriend is a straight-up whore.

Chance and Real’s mother is arriving first so they decide to coordinate outfits. Kind of like my mother used to do with my sister and I when we were little. We were so cute with our little matching outfits. I am sure Chance and Real will have the same effect…or not. They both want to wear their “Stallionaires” shirts, that is their music group or company. They are really excited to wear their T-shirts and see their mama all on the same day.

Brothers Don’t Shake Hands. Brother’s Yell at Each Other to Compete for a Skanky Woman
Claudia, Chance and Real’s mother arrives at the mansion. Both men are excited to see their mom and she is happy to see them as well. We know right off that she is an excellent liar because she tells New York that she is just gorgeous. She tells them they are going to a horse farm for the day and Real is excited because he grew up around horses.

On the car ride to the farm Claudia and Mama New York talk. Mama New York tells Claudia that she likes Real and thinks he would be great with New York. Claudia agrees with her. They finally arrive at the horse farm and New York is terrified of the horses. She really has nothing to worry about, I am SURE those horses are more scared of her and her unsightly make-up decisions. Chance coerces her into the pen and gets her to feed the horse. She starts to freak out. She tells us she does not do well around animals but we all know that is a lie, she seems ok around Chance. As the date progresses she is all over Chance and ignoring Real. Real does not care for that and starts yelling at his brother. New York finds it very erotic to have brothers fighting over her.

New York pulls Real aside and takes him for a little walk. Real tells her he has feelings for her but if she does not feel the same way he is just going to go home because he does not want to get hurt. New York gives him some line about fighting for her but who is really paying attention at this point? They start to make-out and I basically want to gouge my own eyes out. As they walk back to the group, Real wants New York to promise she won’t kiss Chance anymore if they end up together.

Claudia pulls Chance and Real aside to have a little talk before she leaves. She tells them they are brothers first and to not fight over a woman. It breaks her heart when she sees them fighting. She starts crying and that makes Chance cry as well. It’s a very tender moment between a mother and Thug. As Chance and Real walk back to the limo they have a little talk and Chance breaks down again and cries in his brother’s arms. As much as I love to see grown men cry on TV, this is almost too much for me.

Slow, Slow, Quick, Quick, Slow
Paula, Tango’s mother arrives at the mansion for her day with New York and her son. I am immediately worried for her because she looks like a sweet little grandma. New York sees Paula and thinks she is plus sized but loves her son. She tells the group they will be having Tango lessons for the day. Everyone seems excited about the date. Tango dances with his mother but is not very good. New York is really getting pissed that Tango is spending all of his time with his mother and not with her. New York and her mother go off and trash the innocent old lady by calling her fat and elderly. New York just confirms to the world what a bitch she is.

After dance lessons the group heads off for lunch. New York is bored at lunch so she starts yelling and swearing at everyone. Her mother is completely embarrassed and tells her to apologize to the group. She refuses and continues to act like a little brat. Poor Paula is just sitting there saying nothing, counting the seconds till this horrible nightmare is over.

Are Horse Heads in a Bed the Next Step?
After the Mama visits are over Mama New York joins the men for a little chat. She pulls Chance outdoors for some alone time. She tells him she really likes him but he is not right for her daughter. She offers him $5000 to leave the show. He ponders it for a while and tells her “no.” She doubles it to $10,000. He has to turn down the chain if he receives one. He does not feel comfortable with the whole situation but wants time to think about it. Mama New York goes on to tell him that her daughter is not really feeling him. We all know that is a lie because we have watched the last couple of episodes.

Mama New York gives Chance a kiss and walks off. It was very Godfather, the whole bribe and kiss thing. Chance thinks she is a devil woman and goes back to the group and tells the guys what her mother did and they are shocked.

Save the Drama For Your Mama
It’s finally elimination time and New York shows up wearing a dress so low cut one false move and we are all going to be seeing some nippledge. She pulls the first necklace and the room seems very tense. She calls out the name Chance and I know some serious drama is going to follow. She thinks she can see herself and Chance together; they have been through some serious ups and downs already. I have no idea what she is talking about but I will take her for her word.

Chance puts his necklace on and then walks to Mama New York and removes it and demands his money. She demands he returns the necklace first. New York wants to know what is going on. She gets mad and runs out of the elimination room. Real tells his brother to go after her, proving that he is the only person on this show with a tiny bit of class. Chance follows her outside and tells her about the bribe what her mother offered. They return to the group and Chance joins the other men. New York is still freaking about him removing his chain in the first place. He tells her he was planning to stay the whole time. She puts the chain back on him and Mama New York threatens to leave. She of course does not and nothing changes.

The second chain is up and either Tango or Real is leaving tonight. The last chain goes to Tango and sweet, innocent Real is released from this vile woman. New York thinks that Tango has everything that she is looking for in a person. Real goes up for a tearful goodbye and then disappears or jumps in an ambulance for his ride to the ER for booster and tetanus shots.

Would You Like to See My Dragon?
Make sure to tune in next week when this never-ending show finally ends. The group is off to Mexico for drinking, partying, and of course many uncomfortable moments that us viewers must suffer through to see what sucker ends up with New York. I mainly will be watching to see if I can spot my husband in the background selling dresses from a hut. We all have our reasons for watching, no one should be judging.

I just can't imagine that we will make it through this whole season without a little Flavor Flav action.

Actually, we'll have to wait two weeks since next week is one of the rewind/exclusive scenes shows that's become a tradition on FoL. But yeah, I'm hoping for a Flavor Flav appearance. If not at the finale, then at the reunion show (You just know they're going to have one.).

I know this is totally off-topic, but does anyone know Delicious' real name? Since she, ahem, "won" on FOL2, she never had the exit scene with her real name revealed.
