Certainly Billy Vera--an actual talent--probably doesn't have any more of a chance than Howard Jones did. Audiences tend to diss the "guy behind the piano" as well as the slow-song people.

(Okay... I am aware that Vera's song has become a prom/wedding song too... but it's a much better song)

Gotta disagree. I just listened to an MP3 of the orig. for comparison, and he sounds almost note perfect on tonight's performance from what I'm hearing.

Bryan Adams has a lot of crap songs in his catalog. Not all, but a lot.

Ah, you guys, don't trash Glass Tiger :( They actually were not 1 hit wonders. One of their album has hit after hit. Lead singer looks great too, like a million bucks. Here is someone who invested wisely.

Billy Vera was good, but I got confused with another song. I expected to hear the lyrics to the song for the Wonder Years, not Family Ties. Oops. :blush
