From the official site:
The Canadian-based Glass Tiger has been creating vibrant music for almost 20 years. Their debut album, "The Thin Red Line," became the fastest selling album in Canadian history upon its release in 1986. The album, which went Platinum in Canada and Gold in the United States, yielded the hit single "Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone)," which reached number two on the Billboard charts. "Someday," another cut from their debut album, climbed to number five.
To keep their momentum moving forward, this hard-working band toured extensively, opening for acts like The Moody Blues, Tina Turner, and Journey -- their efforts paid off. They won a total of five Juno awards, the Canadian equivalent of the Grammy, and were Grammy-nominated in 1987 for Best New Artist.
In an effort to keep pace with changing tastes, the band has evolved their pop sound into a heavier, stripped-down, and more rock-infused style. Their popular 1991 hard-rocker "My Town," featured a duet between Rod Stewart and Glass Tiger vocalist Alan Frew.
Still recording and performing around the world, "Glass Tiger" remains a favorite in Canada and well respected around the globe.
