Thread: Anyone else here find Vernon Kay annoying?

    I do find him annoying, but in a strange sort of way he fits the show. He appears to have stepped out of a time warp or an episode of the the Partridge Family that has had way to much coffee.

    Beside his inane comments and questions I hate when he comes on stage flapping his hands for the audience to applaud louder. Is he under the impression that the audience has come to see him?

    I find him annoying but mostly because of the ridiculous lines he has to utter. I withhold judgment on Vernon himself until I get to hear him do something other than read a badly written script.

    Yes, he bugs me a little...but it's just his toothiness. I like his hair and his being waaaaaay tall. Actual hosting duties...well, I mean...he doesn't have much to work with, really....introduce the performers, ask what they'll sing next. I don't think he's a super fantastic host (although he is the toothiest!) but I don't think he's the WORST either.

    (all time worst...that horrid Anne R. from "Weakest Link", or maybe Kathy Griffin hosting ANYTHING. As for Julie Chen on Big Brother...well, I kind of like her...as she just fits the vaccuum that IS Big Brother. I can't imagine BB without Julie-Roboto-Chen.)

    I don't mind him. He's just a generic host who was chosen to serve the stereotype that Brits have more pop music street cred than we do.

    As for the comments about Jeff Probst....... . He has to be the most arrogant pr__k in the short history of reality tv!
