Yeah sounds Boltonian to me, Hep.

Anyway, I'm glad I caught tonight's show, I only wish I was an earlier time zone so I could join in on the snark. It was cheezy as all get out, but I think I enjoyed it. Not sure if I enjoyed it enough to tune in next week, though.

When that Loverboy guy came out and clutched his chest on "wanna piece of my heart" and his voice faltered, I was nervous he was actually having a heart attack! I think CeCe looked great (loved her weave), Flock was disappointing (hated his weave ), and I think I sprained my brain trying to figure out if Tiffany was pregnant or just fat.

Arrested Development did not even belong on the same show! While everyone else seemed a little rusty and, in some cases, their songs dated, A.D. were on fire like they were at the height of their success. The performances of both their own hit song and the cover of "How Far is Heaven"* sounded fresh and their stage presence was the most dynamic. Clearly the best act of the night, I'm so glad they won.

*I'm sad some of you don't like (okay, outright declared hate of ) Los Lonely Boys, but only because they are from the small (I mean teeny tiny) town in Texas where most of my family live--local boys done good, you know.

I'm impressed Snowy. As Belfastgirl had posted in another thread:
This show has been a flop in Britain. Vernon's a good looking fella, but he has a VERY strong Bolton accent, so I'd reckon subtitles would be a good idea in the US!

okay, I'll ditto the flock of you that didn't care for the seagulls (HA! I slay me). and I'm betting that at the end of the show Mike Reno went into the big shared dressing room and unbuttoned his top button and PHWAP! out came the belly he'd been hiding in those painted on jeans.

**Raising hand** for the big hair. My (now) husband said it looked like me and my girlfriends did our hair with mousse and a bomb.

I loved Arrested Development - in fact have 2 of the same CD's in our collection - mine and my husbands! Guess we liked them. I loved Mr. Wendall though. Would have been nice to hear them sing that when they won.

Tiff - here's a little hint - Cross Your Heart 36DD. Does wonders for ya!

Pom - you crack me UP with the CeCe last name thing. Since it's pronounced pen-is-ton, I never thought of it your way. Thanks for bringing me to the gutter!

And finally (it's happened to me, right in front of my face....oops started singing)...the host. He is a tall, thin John Elway from the Denver Broncos. Just look at that MOUTH!

Stop. Collaberate and Listen. Ice is back next week!

Hit me baby two more times. Then go away

So.... is the concensus that Tiffany was pregnant, or just wearing an extremely unfortunate top? We couldn't figure it out.

I thought Arrested Development suh-hucked. The one girl in the black dress didn't even sing at all, she just jumped up and down the entire song. The other girl spent her time in front of the mic trying to prove she has large lungs. It was really annoying, and I used to like that song.

Loverboy was a bit shaky in the beginning, but they got on track pretty quickly. I ended up liking them, in the way you might be fascinated watching old, pudgy, balding guys singing a young-20's party anthem.

As for the Flock, I have no idea what happened to them. They just plain bit. You can tell they have spent every moment since they recorded that song just trying to get as far away from it as possible.

And CeCe, I can honestly say I've never heard of, and never heard the song she sang. So, while she sounded good, I have no basis for comparison.

    Bring on the Ice.

Am I the only one who remembers CeCe from back in the days? Her hit Finally was popular during my club years. Brings me back.

I never heard of AD, but I wasn't impressed. That older man was just sitting there in a chair clapping his hands on the second song. He gets paid for what exactly? Looking good?

Flock of Seagulls. Poor guys, they look like life hit them the hardess. Reminds me of the pepsi commercial where a guy is asked what would he want in exchange for his Pepsi. He says his teenage years and you see him doing things in the 2000's with a FOSeagulls hairdoo and the song in the background. On second thought he says, I'll stick with the Pepsi.

Tiffany to me looked like she had given birth not long ago. Those breasts look like they are working breasts...I was the most impressed with her though.

Like John, I kinda liked Loverboy. Ok, he's not a sex symbol anymore, but then again, he never really was.

Yeah, Rise of The Animal would be my choice.

This show was fun. I enjoyed Arrested Development, wish they would have done Mr. Wendal. Hated "I Ran" by FOS, but it was the song I was singing after the show was over (damn them!). Loverboy, oh boy. I wish they showed the drummer a little more, he makes the goofiest faces while he's playing (watch an old video, you'll see). CeCe, sounded great. Could have done without the dancers, especially the one in the unbuttoned Navy shirt (with rank included!). I'm giving Tiffany the benefit of the doubt because she was out recording hits while the other kids were in school learning about gravity.

Lose the host. My wife actually said "He's no Ryan Seacrest." And I agreed! Anyone who makes me long for Seacrest is evil.

I kind of hoped they would have done Wishing too... that song is so much better then I Ran. But I guess they are more know for that one.

I've seen Sammy several times in concert with and without and then again with Van Halen in the last few years. He still rocks! He's the coolest ever. I would vote to hear "Your Love is Driving Me Crazy" off Three Lock Box.
