Bouquets of flowers. Another sensory challenge? Welcome to a new episode!

I'm kind of sick of these "inspired" challenges. But I'll try to watch when it comes on in my time zone.

Far too many of this season's challenges have been too much alike: here's a loft-like space, here's your inspiration, here's your team. As a result, I still don't have a really clear feel for any of the contestants' particular styles.

And besides all that, it's just dull. In past seasons, they've mixed it up a bit more. This season, it's like they just came up with endless variations on one challenge idea. I bet the contestants are sick of it too.

Alex has great hosting skills but seems to be the least talented designer. I wouldn't want him to do a room for me or watch him so anyone else's. I can just see him say, I am not inspired but my client's ideas.

    Ok...so I call Shenanigans!!

They were each told to pick a flower they liked. Then they are told if they use that flower's color in the room they will go home. What if I picked a daffodil just because I love the color yellow and that is the only reason? They should have been told the 'rules' before they picked their flower.

Also Nina used the exact same purpley color on the wall that was in the orchid and she didn't get called out on that just because she called it "bold" and not "purple"?? I know a lot gets edited out, but since they made mention of it at the start of the challenge at least she should have been busted for it.

I like how the judges knew exactly what part of the room was inspired by what flower. Really?? I'm not buying what they are selling. They could just as easily decided to make that bookshelf and then conveniently decided it was a good inspiration for the runuculus or the calla lily or the snap dragon or whatever flower they picked. You could make an argument for all of them. I highly doubt Michael looked at his flower and thought "I must build a bookshelf...this flower just screams bookshelf".

I hate these challenges lately. Be inspired by an instrument. Be inspired by a dress. Be inspired by a flower. I guess the producers aren't inspired by anything except recycling.

The only thing that would have made me happy with this episode would have been Nina going home for retreading the same exact idea 3 challenges in a row and for using the hot pink of her orchid when the judges specifically told the designers not too. I would not watch her if she gets her own show, neither would I watch Alex.

Let me guess, Nina painted something on the wall and called it a mural???

    Who went home?

    Yes, and with squiggly lines.

I loved Dan and was so sad that he was sent home. I dont even want to watch anymore and I think that the judges are overated!
