    John Salley played twelve seasons in the NBA and was a member of four championship-winning teams, including back-to-back titles with the Detroit Pistons in 1989 and 1990, one with the Chicago Bulls in 1996 and one with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2000. Salley has appeared in such movies as Bad Boys and Bad Boys 2 , both starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence; Eddie , starring Whoopi Goldberg; Book of Love ; the Disney Channel's The Ultimate Christmas Present ; and Coast to Coast , starring Richard Dreyfuss and Judy Davis. He was also a celebrity coach in the ABC reality series All American Girl .

    Salley has made numerous television guest appearances, including Up Close, Politically Incorrect, Live with Regis and Kathy Lee, The Late Late Show, The Weakest Link, Primetime Glick, DAG, Son of the Beach, 7th Heaven, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Malcolm and Eddie, The Donnie and Marie Show, Hollywood Squares, The Match Game, The Johnnie Cochran Show, VIP, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Girlfriends and Baby Bob . An analyst-commentator for NBC's NBA pre-game show NBA Showtime and the host of Fox Family's game show I Can't Believe You Said That , Salley can be seen regularly on Fox Sports Net's sports talker The Best Damn Sports Show Period .

    With Challen Cates and Karen Walden, Salley is an executive producer of the Bent Tree Productions film A Fare to Remember , starring Malcolm Jamal-Warner, Challen Cates, Stanley Kamel, Tracee Ellis Ross, Peter Birkenhead, Jerry Springer and John Ratzenberger. Salley is now in the early stages of development as executive producer for a film entitled Dilemma , as well as two television programs, The Verbs and a hip-hop competition called Da Battle .

    Salley is also active in the music industry, representing up-and-coming musical groups, and is credited with discovering R&B vocalist Tony Rich, who is now signed to LaFace Records. He has developed important relationships in the music and motion picture industries. He has strong relationships with black actors, directors, writers and musicians and has been actively developing movie scripts employing these relationships.

    I thought I recognized him from All American Girl. ( never got to see who won that disaster )
