Nasty, and at least a small risk of samonella, but hardly life-and-death. I'm shocked, SHOCKED I tell you, that the previews made it out to be more than it really was.

Oooo... next week is the most shocking elimination yet.
So was this week's. And last week's. And the week before that. I'm shocked, SHOCKED I tell you!

I can't believe how Sara skated through elimination again.

Garrett is a good second choice. Yeah, I really believed him when he said he would never hit anyone again. Yeah, a little bit of liquor and this guy is doing jailtime.

Keith, dresses and acts like 12 yr old. Please pull the pants up. Drools like a 3yrs old. Only redeeming quality is that he can cook. He needs to go to etiquette school, go on TLC's What Not To Wear and learn to speak English properly.

    Funniest Moments

I have to say... 7/24 had some of the funniest moments in HK history...

    1. Gordon to JP: "What... are you trying to lose your virginity" Priceless.

    2. JP: paraphrasing... but it was something like "JP is going to have some beer tonight and chill out. JP has had ENOUGH!". That was so funny.

    3. The "boob incident" at the pass. That was so beautiful. I laughed my butt off. First of all... I think that anyone with the nerve to interrupt the head chef at the pass at a busy restaurant asking when their food will be ready should be kicked out for that alone. But anyway... that was sooo funny.

He was being patient at first... and I was like... dude... aren't you going to insult her? Then he says "could you get your boobs off my hotplate please" HAHAHAHA!!! She did have particularly large breasts. Then she dumps that dish!!! THAT WAS PRICELESS!!!! Gordon was beside himself. I've never seen him take it back before!!!! He's always the one dishing it out... and he was truly speechless for a second there. OMG that was so funny. What a great exhange. And if you have it recorded... watch it again and look for the reactions of her friend. SOOOO FUNNY! First she seems embaressed by her... then she laughs outloud at the insult... then she's in shock when her friend dumps the food... and then she goes back to looking very amussed again as they are walking out. That was so great. I would have loved to hear their conversation in the car on the way home. I wonder if her friend kept laughing about it.

Why was I expecting this type of post today? Sigh...

OK, a few things on the Garrett issue.

    1) He was almost certainly the worst chef left, so I have no problem with him going.

    2) For Heather to say what she did about feeling "uncomfortable" when Garrett is basically within 20 feet of her was insulting and smacked of entitlement. The guy was in jail at some point and did his time. Even with the editing, Garrett never looked overly threatening toward anyone. Heather freaked out when Garrett, trying to be supportive after Heather had lost it a bit in the kitchen, merely touched her shoulder (quickly). She has clearly been gunning for Garrett ever since the "have my dinner ready" comment, which IMO was just Heather not being able to handle the same stuff as she dishes out (the women had been gloating upon their return from reward at the time). Garrett may have been given the worst edit of all time.

    3) Speaking of Garrett's edit, I see a lot of people mentioning what a "sore loser" Garrett is. Well, maybe...But that's not what I saw last night. Garrett has clearly gotten "screwed" in challenges to some extent. Keith admits as much when he CLEARLY STATES he will pick Garrett for reward if he wins. So what happens, he wins, and doesn't pick Garrett. There's really no excuse for this. Either you pick Garrett, or you don't promise to take him while mentioning how much he's been screwed over during the game. I was really starting to dig Keith until this. Garrett should have kept his mouth shut, but really, you could tell he was getting fed up with the treatment he was getting. Hell, I've seen FAR more bitter and mean-spirited eexpressions of anger and frustration on this message board than I did from Garrett last night. Something tells me that there's a lot of stuff that we didn't get to see with respect to Garrett's treatment. Just my opinion...

    4) It seems to me that the producers took the "guy who used to have an anger problem" who has been in jail and continually pushed his buttons, trying to get an explosive response. If that's the case, then Garrett actually handled it pretty well considering how most people react when they're accidently skipped over at the deli counter.

All in all, Garrett seemed to try really hard but not quite have it. I wonder if they kept him around (like they have Sara) in the hopes of some tantrum of rage. Sara embraced the roll, while Garrett actually kept trying to help his team win (with little success unfortunately). Now people here think he's some kind of monster. I suppose he could be, but just because a guy spent some time in jail and gets angry when someone who is supposed to be a friend lies to his face, doesn't make me think that it's so.

If Garrett had acted in a cool calm manner as you do in your post I wouldn't have a problem with him ranting about being betrayed. But, he looked and sounded as if he was on the edge of loosing it and that is why I think his claim of never ever hitting someone again is a big bunch of BS.

    Wow, what a cast....

Garreth - the poster boy Chef Rage
Heather - the poster girl for ridalen
Sara - the poster girl for swarmy smart asses
Kieth - the poster boy for wannabes
(Now he's getting a tattoo He's gettin' ink done He asked for a '13', but they drew a '31')

Best part of the show was when the 'lady' throws the food on the floor.
Ramsey's face was priceless. He looked like "How dare anyone throw a fit in MY kitchen but me"

Well, if you think that anyone who gets upset and yells is automatically someone that hits others, then I can understand your feeling this way. In my experience, the two things (yelling and hitting) are completely seperate issues. I've known quiet people who ONLY could express their rage physically, and also people who seem to be screaming constantly that would rather hit themselves than someone else.

This is a touchie subject, and I would never tell someone how they should feel about such a thing, but I hate to see editing villify someone in this manner. I mean, the guy went to prison, did his time, and is apparently trying to do something useful with his life. He's not all that bright and has a slight badass edge to him (though he's nowhere near the poser Keith is), but the effort (and IMO, the "team" mentality) was there.

In short, everyone has a point at which they must vent. I'll admit that Garrett would be better served to move his point back a bit further, but when he did vent, it wasn't violent or even that drawn out. It wasn't faked, which is to say that it wasn't done (as so many reality contestants do) to get his 15 minutes, to be a disturber, to weaken someone, to gain a strategic advantage, or to just be an [mod edit]. It was true emotion, and it's one we all have plenty of. I can only imagine how much sooner and more dramatically three of the four remaining contestents would have reacted if subjected to the same circumstances. Virginia vents through tears.

Now, I wouldn't go so far as to say it was constructive, but the only person it hurt by it was Garrett. He had a right to be angry, and Keith was waiting for the reaction from him...Then I'm sure he used it as an excuse in his own head to further twist the dagger into Garrett's back at nominations. While we're on Keith, how does someone say 10 seconds after thinking for over a minute before choosing Virginia, "man, I feel so bad...I screwed up."? He makes it sound as if he had taken 10 seconds longer to decide, he would have considered that he might "feel bad" for Garrett, and made the "right" choice. Stupid, but ok...However, THEN he says roguhly the same thing after he Garrett gets the boot. Entirly disingenuous. I know that woen tend to work differently, but guys, especially guys who act like Keith, are loyal and men of their word. Again, Garrett deserved to go, but Keith sold him out big time. What was the purpose of his promise to Garrett OTHER than to piss him off?

One thing that I didn't like about Garrett's tirade was the finality and the venom. I understand where it came from, but it's strategically poor and not a very logical response. If anything points to an inability to control his emotions, it's that.

    I'm so angry...lol.

I wrote a big response to this, hit "submit reply", and it disappeared. UGH!

Anyway, I'll try to sum it up after lunch. Work is killing me right now.

    Every single one is UNworthy

Unless something major and dramatic happens, I clearly see Keith winning this. Sad but true... this pathetic, gansta-wannabe, imbicile who is emotionally stalled at the age of 14 has the best chance of winning. Gordon has clearly put him as the one to beat Just two examples are 1)taking him aside and saying "Keith, has anyone ever told you how really good you are?" and 2) choosing his veal dish for the menu last night.

I don't believe Keith has the ability to run that RedRock Casino restaurant any more than I believe the sun won't rise tomorrow. He doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell with true success as he is now. Can he be "groomed"? Sure. But so can Virginia... so can Heather. Sara on the other hand, is a different story. The only reason she's survived this far is because each week someone has been worse than her. Hopefully next week she'll go... but I've been saying that since this season's premier!

If Keith win's, the only real option is for Ramsay to offer him the same kind of "apprenticeship" he offered to Michael (season 1 winner). But I think Keith's ego (which, btw, rivals his monster-sized bottom) would prevent him from recognizing the apprenticeship would be better for him. Did you hear him last night? He wants to win so he can be in Vegas where he loves the action, nightlife, casinos, etc. He doesn't want to win so he can run a first class restaurant or be a better chef. If he thinks that by winning he'll have a normal 40 hr/wk job and have lots of free time for all that Las Vegas nightlife, it just proves him to be the doofus I believe he is.

reminds me of this season's American Idol runner-up... she wanted to win not so that she could be a singer, no, she wanted to win so she could use it as a launching pad to become a movie star.

Makes me feel cheated. Like the candidate who wins the mayoral race who does nothing for the city who elected him but instead spends every moment posturing and positioning himself for the Governor's seat.

I can't stand Keith and I'd love to see him voted out... right after Sara

Personally I find these humane mouse traps rather ineffective. Better to lay down some glue and when you hear the critter scream you take a shovel to his head.
