Ji was basically born into the restaurant business. She says that her mother gave birth to her at her father's Korean restaurant while she was working as a waitress. Her mother was upset with Ji's decision to become a chef because she thinks that it is degrading towards women. At almost six feet, Ji is a force to be reckoned with in the kitchen.

Don't know why cooking is degrading to women. Also don't know what being 6 ft tall has to do with cooking. The bios this year are perplexing.

She reminds me a lot of the sous-chef (?) Maryann, who I also miss.

I wish Ji well. I hope Ramsay does something for her, or brings her back next season. I think he saw a lot of potential in her.

She was fast becoming my favorite and I was so disappointed to see her leave. I agree with whoever it was who said that Colleen and Lacey combined aren't half the chef that Ji is. I'm sad to see her go, but I'm sure she will succeed somewhere in life. I wish her luck.

If only Lacey's lazy ass could have been the one to slip and injure herself, instead of a real chef like Ji. I hate to see Ji go like she did, I think she could have won this thing. Good luck to her.
