Gordon Ramsay, Head Chef

I've always been a Ramsay fan, but this year he seems to have gone from aggressive, perfectionist to school yard bully. Screaming, swearing, and even food throwing is one thing, but calling people ugly, dumb blond, and cow is another. Harsh criticism makes him appear to want the best. Cheap shots just make him look small and cranky.

I'd never seen Top Chef before, but it's on Bravo right now. Something's missing but I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was. And then I realized it was Chef Ramsay.

I watch Top Chef, as well. I like HK much better, tho. But this season,
it doesn't seem like they have any real standout chefs. Certainly not
"owning your own restaurant" quality. The all have certain strengths,
but waaaay more weaknesses. But I'll watch till the "bloody" end.

He does do more of that, it seems. I do like it that he is just as quick
to praise when they do something well.

He does seem tougher this season, but that's his style of encouragement. He has praised Julia, Rock, Jen, and Melissa (at the beginning) a number of times.

I'm amazed to see how calm and even humorous he can be when he's not in the kitchen. There's Gordon then there's Chef Ramsey - the gentleman and the wolf man

I have little respect for the man. He's a chef but hasn't yet learned that a little bit of sweets get better results than a truckload of sours.

I think a lot of what we see Chef ramsay doing is for show. Not that he doesn't swear etc., in real but I think there is some ratings effect happening

I'm sure a lot of it is for show ratings, of course. The way he acted while they were shooting paintballs is probably how he is in real life. He's adorable when he actually smiles.
