I think it was difficult to get a "Danny" vibe from many of the performances Sunday. I don't know a lot about auditions and casting but I do go to many "Broadway" shows and know what I like on stage. I think Austin has the personality and can command the stage as well as engage the audience, to be a lead character. I am hoping at some point they pair the cast members, dress them in character and let them act! Then I'll know if Austin (or any of the guys) is a good Danny!

Not masculine enough with a slight femininity that turns me off. Plus he just seems smarmy and insincere. Can't see him as Danny unless his acting skills are so good that he can seem to have chemistry with any of the Sandys.

Maybe he can play both parts - Sandy and Danny - because he certainly seems to have chemistry with himself.

Great comment!! Love it. Yeah, Austin is in love with himself. Maybe because he was a chubby child, his adult persona just seems to turn him on so much he can hardly stand it. You just know that every morning he looks in the mirror and says "You are so hot, I just can't wait to be alone with you".

I don't know if this was mentioned earlier, but Austin really creeps me out. He reminds me of Adrian Zmed in Grease 2. And not in a good way!

I like blond Danny, but I don't think he will get it. I want someone unknown to get their big break and that's not him. If he had never been on Days of Our Lives, then I would have a different opinion. (But, I am a strong Derek fan so maybe not even then).

See and I was thinking he was more of a Maxwell Caufield.

But I don't want that for my Danny either. Austin makes me think of slumber parties and make up. He is too feminine looking for me.

Yeah, he not only looks rather effeminine, he also kind of acts it too. It comes across real phony and hammy.
