Poor Willy! Keeping my fingers crossed for you Spoose.
Poor Willy-Will. I hate it when they are sick since they can't talk to you and tell you what's wrong. Hope the baby will get a good prognosis.

Everyone here is so incredible! Thanks for the kind words!
A few months ago there was an article in Maclean's (a weekly news magazine) that talked about how our pets get better health care than we do. After this morning at the animal hospital, I'm starting to believe it. Willy got in almost right away and the vet chatted with us and checked him out for AN HOUR trying to figure out what was going on with him. He's perked up a bit since first thing this morning, but is still not himself and the vet said his GI tract does not sound normal but it's probably due to something he ate last night in combination with other allergens (we knew he was an allergic dog but several things over the past day have cumulated to his lethargy this morning). The vet gave us some more info on allergies in dogs along with her card with her home phone number and made us promise to call later today with an update. She suspects whatever he ate to make him this way will work it's way through but if it doesn't, she'll take him in and help him out. This wasn't our normal vet clinic but after today, it is. They were awesome!
Willy drank a bit when we got home and he's now curled up on the couch getting lots of pets. These little furballs they call dogs....and man's best friend....really are a part of the family.![]()
Don't let the small things sweat
I hope Willy will be ok. You hang in there too Spoose. It's harder on me when the animals are sick than my daughter. She can tell me what's wrong, they can't.
But your vet sounds fabulous!
Mine went out for a bit and it was so hot, that we did not have any of the usual shenanigans in the yard. They all came in and found the coolest spot in the house: the kitchen and bathroom floors!

I hope Will is on his way to a speedy recovery. And that vet did sound really wonderful, you're lucky to have found them.
It is absolutely ice-cubes-in-the-water-dish hot outside today....and my gurls are indoor ladies!
Smooches to Spoose!![]()
