| Re: For animal lovers Don't you wonder why cats like to stick their tongues out like this? Laurel was sitting like this for a good 10 minutes. ![]() ![]()

| Re: For animal lovers UNK, I've always thought that was funny too! It's like something got their attention while they were licking a paw or whatever and they just forgot to pull the tongue in ![]()

Blog Entries: 7 | Re: For animal lovers We went to Sam's yesterday and the human society was having a fundraiser outside. They had a greyhound that was the most gorgeous greyhound I've ever seen. It was completely white with brown markings over it's eyes. It looked EXACTLY like Rosie, except a LOT bigger. Same pointy face. And he was SOOOOOOOOOOO sweet. I petted him and he just leaned against me and looked up at me with that sweet face. I really, really, really, really wanted to take him home. He was up for adoption. The guy was trying to convince me about all his good qualities (he was a retired racing dog). I haven't stopped thinking about him since I saw him. (the dog, not the guy)But we cannot have 4 dogs, although I bet this one would run the Waldo NASCAR track around the house with Waldo and help keep him exercised. ![]() I have never seen a white greyhound before and with it being marked like Rosie was what really got to me and then him being so sweet. I'm going to end up being the dog lady with 10 dogs one day. I guess we need to go ahead and buy that acreage.

| Re: For animal lovers MRD - I love that the Greyhound looked like a bigger version of Miss Rosie! My parents have some friends who adopted a retired racing Greyhound and he was a great dog. They said he was the laziest dog ever (this was before anyone met Henry) and all he did was sleep. They guessed that he was tired from all of that racing! He DID have a bad habit of laying his head on the dinner table and staring at their food though. They'd had small dogs before and were not used to a dog who was on eye level with the table I would have a herd of dogs if I had room, so I know how you feel!

| Re: For animal lovers MRD, I had a retired greyhound once, and Doxie is right...they are the biggest couch taters ever. I could take him out and throw the Frisbee for him a couple of times every couple of days, and he would run after it but I think would have been just as happy not to....little animals would make him gogogo, though! He also never barked, and never smelled bad. Or shed!
