Sadly I am out of waffles. I am making a chopped salad with cold salmon for dinner tonight. You are welcome to come for that.
    And I have beer!

I need to redress Bogie's wound. The bandage has slipped (AGAIN). It's been hard keeping it covered up so it won't get dirt and stuff in it.

Oopsy. I was too late to add this onto my earlier post.

I just talked to my vet about Lexi's incident with the peanut butter oil and that Lexi's fur is rather straw-like after having been washed. She recommended to use Sunlight Dishwashing soap on any animal that gets any kind of oil on it. That's what they use for ducks and animals caught in oil slicks. There's something in that soap brand in particular that does the best job and it's very safe to use.

Also, to then use the conditioner that I purchased from them to make her fur more silky. It's Vet Solutions brand; Aloe & Oatmeal skin & Coat Conditioner. I might just try it on my hair!! LOL

Yech, I smell like peanut butter!

Yum, this doesn't taste too bad....

Can someone help me with this?

myrosie, I'm glad Bogie is back to his shenanigans. I think he was playing it out longer because you hadn't yet found his wound and he was trying to let you know. Once you gave him all the extra attention and fixed him up he's a happy camper .

misskitty, those are some adorable kitties. Thanks for the tip about Sunlight dishwashing soap.

Miss Kitty, those photos and captions of the kitties are too cute.

Gabriel, Joey could be a spokescat for Crest White Strips now.

Archie, I think you are right, he was really hurt and was trying his best to let me know. I still feel the guilt (where is the hanging head in shame smilie?)

Hey, everyone, come to my house for Beer and Waffles! And you can watch mom try to catch Bogie and bandage his wound. It's Happy Hour with entertainment! No where else can you get a treat like this!!!!

The dog looks like he's dressed for Halloween. I have obviously used a lesser brand of gauze and it is RAGGED in less than a day! He looks like Mummy Dog Meets Abbott and Costello.

Ok, the wound is not getting worse, but its also not getting a lot better. I have to wonder if now the gauze rubbing it (it will NOT stay in place no matter what I do, because he's an active dog) is irritating it. But it still needs to be covered and not left open. Any suggestions??? I'm thinking of taking one of my husband's clean tube socks and cutting the foot off and using that over the gauze pad and gauze wrapping. Kind of like a turtleneck sweater with out the sweather. Think it would work?

I vote pay a visit to the vet. Momma's been working on this at home long enough.
