Re: For animal lovers

Sherri: I hope that you find a solution for the bulldogs soon. That's not an easy thing to deal with, but it sounds like you've gotten some great advice here. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

MRD I hope that Queen Rosie had a great birthday! She's lookin' mighty fine for a lady of her advanced years!

Re: For animal lovers

Sherri: We have been through this. A solution - split these dogs up! And find them a guard job. They need to be contained during the day and have work to do at night. Somewhere that they can't damage anything. The one dog we had to do this with went to a car lot. He was happy and not one was hurt.
If they bite someone it is because that person was where they didn't belong.

Wanted to share the below information. As a "server" - past and present - of a CRF cats I thought this was a great idea!

This is your invitation to share your great vet with others by posting
a recommendation to the "Veterinarians Recommended by Owners of
Chronically Ill Cats" web site at:

Veterinarians* Recommended by Owners* of Chronically Ill Cats

I maintain this site as a memorial to my departed CRF cat, Scooter.
Finding a great vet helped extend Scooter's life another 4 years after
diagnosis and we treasured every moment with our pal. If know of such
a vet, share him/her with others. Complete instructions for posting
your vet to the web site are at:

Instructions for Recommending Vets

Thank you for your help.

Re: For animal lovers

Big Problem Here:

I awoke, bolt upright, at 4:30 a.m. this morning, realizing that I have a missing kitty. So far, I have been unable to locate Miss Celie, my stalker gurl. It has been unusually quiet since about a day and a half ago, now that I think about it. We got a lot of snow, about a foot, over the weekend, and I'm thinking that she might have ventured outside while I had the door open looking at the snow and ice. Now that I think about it, I heard a cat scream outside last night, and the other gurl who is usually involved was on my bed, and she looked at me. I thought the scream sounded familiar, but didn't really give it another thought. I have been roaming all over the house, calling her name, calling outdoors this morning, but no results. Luckily, the snow and ice are virtually gone now, and the weather will be in the high 50s today. I am worried sick. Interestingly enough, while I was walking around calling her name, both of the other gurls appeared and were looking around....that is not like them.

Everybody, please keep us in your thoughts and send good thoughts our way. She is not an outdoor cat and has no collar or microchip. She has never shown any interest in going outdoors before.

Re: For animal lovers

I hope Miss Celie is found and back at home safe and sound real soon.

A friend of mine has a daughter who recently got a different breed of cat. Of course, now I don't know the name of it, but it has very short wavy hair, and huge ears. She said it has more of a dog-type disposition rather than the much-superior cat disposition. She had a picture of it, and it looked pretty funny with these huge ears. Anybody know what that breed is called? I'd like to look it up on-line.

prhoshay, I hope Miss Celie is home safe and sound soon. She's probably hiding out somewhere until she gets her bearings and feels safe to come out.

Re: For animal lovers

Thanks, everybody. I have been to our metro animal services, and will be checking with our humane society, but nothing yet. I have walked and driven the neighborhood. I really want to catch up with my mailman since he walks the neighborhood almost everyday.
