| Re: For animal lovers Glad to hear that our boy, Finley, is back at home where he belongs! Rattus, you be sure to give him all our love! You guys should all be able to sleep well tonight, being back together. Looking forward to daily Finley updates! Did the doc say anything about that nasty bird that Finley ate?

| Re: For animal lovers Well, here's the update on Finley. He is still under the weather, but he's eating, thanks to the appetite stimulant he's being given. We haven't seen him drink anything since Wednesday, though, so tonight I squirted water into his mouth with an ear flusher. That seems to have done quite a bit to perk him up, so unless we actually see him drinking, we're going to be squirting water into his mouth a few times a day until he's back to normal. However, after giving him the water, he took a few minutes of his time to lick Harvey's head, which is a very good sign, as well as bugging me for something which, per usual, I can't understand (what on earth do they want? )I mentioned the bird to the vet, but he didn't seem concerned about it. He was more concerned about any contact with other cats, which is also a concern of mine. But the boys are completely up to date on their shots, and whatever the issue is, it doesn't appear to be anything communicable. Anyway, this has been a banner month for vet bills - $600 for this go round with Finley, $400 for Harvey's earlier visit for impacted glands and an infected scratch in his ear. Going by the chart Gabriel posted earlier, Harvey is somewhere in his early 70s, so I'm guessing he'll be seeing Dr. P. a bit more frequently in the upcoming years. One more reason I'm grateful the mortgage is almost paid off - now I can look after my boys' health in style. ETA: I was just having a quick run through e-bay before I hit the sack, and Finley's whining at my feet to be let out. Well, good luck with that, my furry little friend, but his whining for that is the best sign yet that he's on the mend .

| Re: For animal lovers Rattus - Thanks so much for the Finley update. I've been thinking about him today and hoping he's doing well. Joeys Dr. insisted that he get at least 2 check ups a year since he is now older and he gets a full panel workup once a year. |

| MERRY UKRAINIAN CHRISTMAS | Re: For animal lovers Rattus: I'm glad to hear that Finley is starting to feel a bit better! I'll send him lots of love to help him along! ![]() ----- I left my three kitties all alone together in the house while I went to the neighbors for a little home party thingy. Mr. Tootles, Gracie and little Lexi all greeted me at the back door when I returned home. And they were all alive! ![]()
