Re: For animal lovers

Poor Finley. I'm with you on taking him to the vet sooner, rather than later, but I've even got a bad tummy reading about him eating a bird. Birds can just be so nasty! I have gone through similar behavior with my gurls, from time to time, but it has usually resolved itself plus, they are not outdoor kitties...so that eliminated some possibilities, right there.

Poor Gail did eat a cricket once and, I swear, that gray kitty turned absolutely green.

Re: For animal lovers

Sorry about the double post, but I have an email with painted cats, so if anyone would like to see them, PM me your email address. Just shows what kinds of nuts some of us can be!

Waldo with waffles, Joey with Cheetos!

Sherri: I'm glad you got your pups back ok.

Newf: Aww, a Newf in snow....pure heaven!

Rattus: I hope Finley improves. I'd take him in for a check-up just in case. Better safe than sorry.

prhoshay: I've seen the painted cats! The cats are actually beautiful, but I think the owners may have a slight problem.

I even tried to tempt him with some tuna, but he just pulled away from me. I thought he might have a cold, but he's not sneezing, and I thought possibly depression because a big storm came in today (he does not like bad weather). Does any of this sound familiar to anyone? I'm really upset and having a hard time getting any work done, and if he hasn't eaten by tomorrow he's going to the vet, and I would love to know that this is just a temporary aberration common all cats.
Call me a worry wart, but I would head to the vet.

I just called them while Mr. Rattus is shovelling the walk and the driveway (big snow here today), and we've got a 6:20 appointment, so we'll be leaving in about 20 minutes. Fingers crossed that it's nothing serious - I love my furry little dude and his ordinarily wonderful personality, and I really miss him sleeping on my head.

Sending warm fuzzies your way Rattus. Hope he's ok and it's just a case of upset tummy.

Let us know how it comes out Rattus. We're having the snow also.

Picture it: Milwaukee WI , 1966 or 67, 3 bedroom upper flat, 2 calico cats, sisters - one long hair one short hair- Names are Fluffy and Puffy (I don't know why my Mom always picked names like that, but I digress)add to the equation one goldfish bowl, not the flat bowl looking type, but the taller round type. Have 4 or 5 gold fish swimming around. Now we have 3 or 4. Anyhow one of the gold fish begins to look unusually bedraggled, still swimming ok, looks alert, but rumpled, if a fish can look rumpled, scales begin to show up missing....

My mom says to our father one day, I think there's something happening when no one is home. So Mom puts just a couple drops of blue food coloring in water. Come home next day here is a long hair calico girl, looks normal. In walks Puffy the short hair with DA DA - A BLUE LEG.....

They had their claws too, that must have been one fast fish.
