| Re: For animal lovers Sherri - so glad that the canines are ok. The offspring needs to apparently be more careful when opening and closing doors. Newfherder - That would have been a picture - MUST keep camera ready. doxie - I remember that story about the neighbor calling you. Too funny I say. |

Blog Entries: 7 | Re: For animal lovers Sherri, That is so scary. We've had that happen a few times and I always panic because I'm worried something will happen to them. Everytime we've found the runaways, they are happy and playing. But not with a horse. That does take the cake! ![]() Well, Waldo was VERY happy with his waffle and he pranced around with it showing it off before he ate it. The other two looked at him and I swear I could hear two very whiney kid voices going: "Uhhhh, MOOOOOOMM. Where's OUR waffle??? It's not FAIIIIIIRRRRRR!!!!!" ![]() I wish I had gotten a photo of Waldo and the Waffle. Would have loved to see Ghostly Gustav in the snow. ![]()

| Re: For animal lovers My Finley is sick. He was fine yesterday morning when I left for work, but didn't come to greet me when I got home (which has never happened before), just lay in one of his chairs and hasn't eaten since yesterday, though he seems to have used his box a fair bit. I even tried to tempt him with some tuna, but he just pulled away from me. I thought he might have a cold, but he's not sneezing, and I thought possibly depression because a big storm came in today (he does not like bad weather). Does any of this sound familiar to anyone? I'm really upset and having a hard time getting any work done, and if he hasn't eaten by tomorrow he's going to the vet, and I would love to know that this is just a temporary aberration common all cats.

| Re: For animal lovers Rattus, I don't know about cats, but my little dog (14 years old) did that for 2 days and I was in tears thinking that her time was close. She did drink water occasionally, but wouldn't eat, didn't move etc. She rebounded back to her normal self, and I am pretty sure it was something she ate. It's upsetting when our pets get sick, so good luck at the vets and try to think positive thoughts. It's good that he's using his box. | |

| Re: For animal lovers Oh, I do hope that is the problem. Actually, thinking back, he did eat a bird on Tuesday (I know, I know - he's a very bad boy ), but I wouldn't have thought that that would have taken so long to manifest itself into the tummy squirrels. But if that is the trouble, hopefully it will remind him to keep him away from the assorted wildlife trying to enjoy our yard.

| Re: For animal lovers Rattus - I hope Finley feels better soon. It sounds to me (and I'm certainly no expert) that he just has a little tummy ache. As I tell my son - a couple of good poops, and he'll be fine! |

| Re: For animal lovers It's probably best to avoid a home diagnosis. Just make sure he gets plenty of water and follow through with your plan to take him to the vet if it continues. It's probably nothing, so try not to worry. Chances are he'll be fine. ![]() |

| Re: For animal lovers Actually, I was thinking about the water issue this morning. I haven't seen him drinking either, and I'm kind of dreading the idea of getting some into him using an ear flushing bulb when I get home. I've got my fingers crossed that whatever the issue is will have passed and he will be his usual sweet-natured, hungry self.
