| FORT Fogey | Re: For animal lovers I caught Rosie on the arm of the sofa licking a plate left on the side table. I said "ROSIE!!!" and she promply sat on the sofa facing away from the plate with this look on her face like she had done nothing. She will do that a lot. If she can't see the object, then it must not be there and the rest of us can't see it either. She has the innocent look down pat. ![]() You guys have had me with these last couple of pages.UD, that photo is too adorable. I want to know how they got those cats all dressed up like that. Cute.

![]() When we take Rosie and Bogie anywhere, people always say to us: "look at the Frasier dogs" I think my favorite episode with Eddie was when he ate the cheetos out of the bag and Niles reaches into the bag and wants to know why they are all wet and sees Eddie with orange powder on his snout. ![]() Rosie has done similar things when she thinks no one is looking. I dropped a waffle on the floor today and while I was cussing at myself, (it dropped butter side down and I was trying to decide if the floor was clean enough to pick it back up and eat it) Waldo was looking at it, looking at me, looking at it, looking at me. I finally told him he could have it. (mostly because I had finally decided that butter side down meant it had probably gotten dog hair or something stuck to it that I couldn't blow off). I had to pick it up and hand it to him because he wanted it, but wouldn't take it, in case he got in trouble. The other 2 operate on my husband's philosopy of its better to ask forgiveness later than permission first. ![]() And talk about 2 extremely put out dogs when they saw Waldo and the Waffle. I had to give them some treats so they wouldn't be jealous. ![]() The other two would have snatched it and RUN in a split second.

Oh don't get me started on the Cheetos- I moved into this apt in July 1997 Joey was just turned a year old a month before and Mona would have been around 5. Well I would buy snacks and I like cheetos, but I left the bag on the kitchen counter with the top kind of rolled down. So one day I get home from work and Mona is sitting at the edge of the kitchen looking towards the door of the living room where you enter the apt, with this cat that ate the canary look on her face, so I know something is up. I walk to the kitchen and all I see I cheetos everywhere and a sleepy little ORANGE white and black boy on the counter snoozing. Mona was probably sitting there thing, "He's history - YES!!" But of course he wasn't. | |

| Re: For animal lovers You guys all seem to be cat lovers and today I was almost regretting not letting my son adopt that cat instead of these two behemoths. Don't get me wrong, I love them, but they have completely ruined my nice peaceful household! This morning the caller ID at work showed my son's schools phone number. This came right in the middle of our work computers crashing and me being the only one there and already in a mild panic. Levi was calling to tell me that he needed to leave school to go search for two very naughty bulldogs that had bolted out the door as he was leaving for school. Talk about major panic setting in! I work out of town and being the only one there, was not able to leave. He of course was heartbroken (not!) when I told him he was going to have to go and look for them. Now keep in mind, it was only 3 degrees at the time, so I now have a child and 2 dogs out there freezing their tushies off. Talk about feeling like a horrible mother. The town we live in is quite small, so I called city hall, the local sheriffs office and the local radio station. We had a small army out looking for these two escapees. An hour later, they still hadn't been found, so as a last resort, I called my significant other. He agreed to go and get Levi and help him search for them. Two and a half hours after they took off, they were found, two miles from home, playing with a HORSE!!! Now that's a picture I would have loved to see. Apparently both them and the horse were having a hayday. Gary isn't an animal lover by any means and even he got a kick out of it, followed of course with a sermon about why I'm dumb to have pets and a warning not to call him the next time they get out. (I always knew there was a reason I'd rather sleep with my dogs!) So yes, today especially, having a cat, sounds like a better idea. Who knows maybe one of these days, I'll have to add a feline companion to the house! |

| Re: For animal lovers Gustav had a great morning. It was snowy and blowy--real Newf weather. He went outside to do his business, and as soon as he came in, he wanted to go out on the porch. I thought sure, that'll last all of two minutes, but after he ate some snow, he laid down in a drift that had formed on the porch, and watched the snow swirl. I made him come in when he was a ghostly grey, which was oddly spooky when combined with his very dark eyes. Too bad that he thawed before I could get a picture ![]()

| Re: For animal lovers MRD: We used to get the "Is that a Frazier Dog?" question when we took Simon out too. I'm glad Waldo enjoyed his waffle! Sherri: I'm happy that your naughty dogs are home safe and sound. That is hilarious about the horse. Our bad little JRT once ran away and went through a neighbor's open back door and laid down on their couch! We didn't know these people and it was pretty embarrassing to get a call saying "Your dog is sitting on our couch!" Newf: I wish you had gotten a picture of Gustav. It sounds like he is enjoying the winter weather a lot! Henry was lurking underfoot when we made chicken and dumplings a few weeks ago and flour "drifted" all over him. We joked that he looked like a reverse Dalmation - black with white spots. Cheetos don't last long enough around here for dogs to get them! Enjoying the stories and photos. ![]()
