I got home this afternoon and while the tree is still intact. Waldo isn't.

He has about a 3/4 of an inch long gash just below his eye. It's fairly smooth and kinda deep, but was not bleeding. I have NO idea how he got it. He doesn't need stitches (my professional opinion). I am thinking that maybe Rosie tagged him. She gets really snitty if he won't leave her alone (maybe now he will). I found no blood anywhere in the house and this had to have bled some.

I cleaned it and put neosporin on it which he was not happy with. It doesn't seem to be bothering him.

He's been behaving. But we have company coming, so I think he's biding his time until they arrive and then he'll "perform".

His cut seems to be healing nicely so far. But he hasn't learned. He and Rosie got into it again this morning. Just a small tiff this time. So she had a bath and is now esconced on my bed with the mattress pad turned way up and the door shut so she will be left alone to get over the indignity of having to have a bath and to warm up afterwards.

He's actually laying next to me snoring to beat the band. I can't hear the Christmas music I have playing over his snores.

The way he loves chasing squirrels and they always outrun him, he probably thought finding a dead one in the yard was a gift from heaven.

He and Bogie have never caught a squirrel, they are too fast for them. This one must have died of old age and fell out of the tree.

I hope that's the case. I love my little resident squirrel. They are amazing little beasts.
